5. Supporters of current policy like to cherry pick the worst cases for illegal immigrants; i.e. those that are actually guilty of serious criminal offenses. In reality, that’s a small minority of them. Deport those all you want, or better yet, put them in a prison here where they can be safely controlled instead of released into a country where they can escape from jail and get back here.

   As for those who have simply not filled out the appropriate immigration paperwork, (a needlessly byzantine and expensive process) often going back decades, but are otherwise law abiding and productive, why deport them at all? It’s the equivalent of sending someone to jail for 10 years for speeding. It’s cruel and unusual punishment given the harm caused by the offense, amplified when the deportee has a spouse and children who are American citizens. You’re literally tearing apart families and ruining people’s lives for a misdemeanour. Have some empathy.

      A lot of Mexicans used to cross the border daily to legally work in the US, happy to return to an inexpensive Mexico at the end of the day. It was very routine.
      That was before 9-11.
      And before Leftists decided national borders were racist or something.

      And why do you only mention serious criminal offences when the citizens of a country shouldn’t have to abide any laws being broken by illegals who shouldn’t have been there in the first place.

   “My personal preference would be the accused be tried, convicted based on the evidence, sentenced and hanged …or at least truly serve life in prison. Our ancestors understood better how dangerous a violent psychopathic predator is and how irredeemably evil, or untreatable in today’s politically correct jargon.

   Because, many judiciary today view violent criminals as victims and not responsible for their bad decisions. He may one day be released back into society by such a judge. Deporting such an immoral monster is the best way to protect the women of America. Though, not the women of the country, he is deported, too.

   My duty as Mayor and a man is to value and protect equally all the women of Chicago!”

   Unfortunately, normal is not as common, as it once was.

      The second is, “Yes, preferably in a sealed box, to the bottom of the sea.”

      The third is, “No, I’d prefer to put a burning tire around the rapist’s neck and have a barbecue. Deportation might make that more difficult.”
