  1. Not directly pertinent to the video , but timely with what I found in my door after working all day. Statistics Canada dropped by and it apparently urgent they know the details of my financial situation. My household has been “chosen.”
My participation s important to fully understand the issues concerning savings and debt. Data from this survey will answer the following types of questions:

Are families able to save for retirement and their children’s education?
Are pensions adequate as more Canadians move toward retirement?
What financial challenges face those entering the workforce?

Well guess what ,I am 70 and my wife is 66 and we are both still working.
Maybe if the government tabled a budget I would know how much more debt I will be incurring.
Maybe if you told us how much more money you will print further devaluing my savings that you have cut the purchasing power of by 50% , I could answer.
Maybe you could let me know how many more families you will be putting on the dole that we need to support.
And how many more ” victims” will I have to compensate?
And how much more will I need to pay so useless politicians can galivant around the world?

Meanwhile I will try to complete shutting down my small company , of which half the residual value has already disappeared in tax and professional fees.
    FO forever comes to mind.

    1. Speaking of Statistics Canada, in June I was “invited” to participate the “Survey on Canadians’ Safety.” My participation is important!

I chose to decline their “invitation” and with good reason (I won’t go into that). Well, I received two follow-up letters in July reminding me my participation was important. I ignored them.

Then they began harassing me by phone; I never answered or returned their calls. They even contacted my husband, telling him to get me to participate! Screw them! I made my choice and it’s none of their bloody business.

  2. Mississippi. a Red State:

“Mississippi has seen significant academic growth, with a Urban Institute report indicating that its fourth graders now rank highest in the nation in fourth grade reading and math, and eighth graders lead in math, after accounting for student demographics. This “Mississippi miracle” represents a substantial turnaround, as the state was once near the bottom of national education rankings. The improvement is attributed, in part, to a 2013 law focusing on early literacy and reading, which included measures like the use of reading coaches and the Mississippi Assessment Program (MAAP). ”

The UK burdened with 5 million new Muslims and 5 million cannibals or spear throwers from the Congo with IQ’s lower than 35 on a warm day also have academic scores most likely under Mississippi.

Well King Charles approves of Islam over Christianity, so there is that.
