Parliament must be prepared to compensate canola farmers for lost income if a trade war with China persists past Christmas, growers yesterday told the Commons agriculture committee. Losses to date are near $2 billion, said the Canadian Canola Growers Association.
Does crop insurance cover these losses?

We must protect the theoretical jobs that might come from government subsidies to the future EV non-competitively advantageous capital of the western world – Ontario and Quebec. We mustn’t have access to $20,000 Chinese EVs for those that “choose” to buy one like the rest of the developed and developing nations. We’re still mandated to buy the $60,000+ future theoretical domestic units.
Compensate? Why would they do that when everything is operating as planned. Going to show those uppity Westerners where their bread is buttered. Exactly what would be done differently if your goal was to keep the serfs in line ?
