  1. My daughter was assaulted a few years ago a few blocks south of the downtown core in Calgary.
While speaking to the police dept on phone, and waiting for an extended period of time for a police response on site, she was told by an officer on the phone that he would advocate for carrying a bear spray as a defensive measure for this situation.

The gov’t shouldn’t have a say in what people use in defensive measures against criminal elements, whether in home invasions, car jackings, or while traveling exposed to those elements on public transit.
Transit officers should be trained for use of, and authorized (as all of us should) to use bear spray as a defense measure while driving buses or trains.
The riffraff which the federal gov’t has allowed into this country begs for an enhanced measure of defense against them.

In a juried trial, any citizen would be exercising “good” to find for not guilty in this situation
    Sovereign juries.

In the “file photo” of transit police standing at the station at the Fish Creek / Lacombe station, that’s exactly what it looks like on a Sunday morning at 6.43 AM
It’s very different at the Macleod Trail and 6th Ave SE location at 6.43 AM ….

  2. Bear spray isn’t a prohibited weapon like pepper spray meant for humans. It is however a weapon and assault with a weapon can get you up to 10 years in jail. Also don’t expect the judge to appreciate the difference in terminology. Telling the judge you were armed for bear in downtown Calgary isn’t likely to be believed.

    1. You will also get a bonus charge under s245a for Administering a noxious substance, much like the Spiceman, Naveen Polapady in 2011. His weapon of choice in defending his business from a trespasser was Tikki Masala spice powder.

  3. If bear spray is banned just get yourself some ghetto pony dog repellent.
Great for mail carriers and Amazon drivers.

  4. And … how is ANTIFA … TRANSTIFA … allowed to fire commercial grade Roman candles and M80’s at police, businesses, and counter protesters?

  5. “My sight’s not too good, and in those black uniforms and black knit caps, I swear they looked just like black bears.”

“That’s my story and I’m sticking to it!”
