Embrace Pallywood!

@AmitSegal;

You may well have seen Fteiha’s photos on your social media feeds: starving children desperately begging for food, empty pots in hand. But what he didn’t capture—and what others did—is the adult men waiting for, and receiving food, mere meters away.

Of course, there’s nothing inherently wrong with taking photos of hungry children, but if they’re standing right next to men who are receiving food, the question has to be asked: why are the photos of the latter not interesting to legacy media?

  1. It’s a lot easier to make children look like they’re starving than it is to make adult men or women look like they’re starving. Lots of skinny kids in gaza, haven’t seen so many skinny adults, especially the women folk.

How are those 50 hostages doing? I read yesterday the Israelis think maybe 20 +/- are still alive.

  2. And…

    1. It’s a lot more impactful to have hungry children in the photos, also from the mechanics of photos view, you can have a 3-5 starving children in a photo whereas only 1-2 starving adults…

How are those 50 hostages doing? 670 days.

The first result at the Google for October 7 2023 is this:

I can’t tell if Al Jizz is sponsoring their own news coverage on the Google, or if the Google just loves them.
… haven’t looked at Al Jizz regularly, not within memory at all so it isn’t me bringing it on.

      1. I look forward to the autopsy reports. Sure to be as “authentic” as George Floyd’s reports. Gawwwd.

  3. My “some people have no conscience” motto has been upgraded to “many people”. In the early 90s I found myself working in Ethiopia for a month. At the traffic lights in Addis Abba the women would take turns holding a baby to their exposed breasts while wandering through traffic begging for money. They would switch up after a few lights and as soon as the “new mother” got her baby, she would start crying, wandering through traffic begging. A local claimed it was all organized. We watched from a nearby outdoor restaurant. A few times the women wandered near the restaurant but were quickly shooed away by the waiters. It doesn’t take long for one to realize that hunger is not for lack of food.

  4. Everyone with a camera… which is almost everyone these days, knows a Pulitzer awaits those who take the right photo at the right time…shaping public opinion is a bonus.
A starving child or at least the illusion of one is always a show stopper.
Comedian Sam Kinison once remarked – you know some photographers are thinking “Don’t give the kid a sandwich just yet.”

  5. Who are the “buyers”?
Some people indeed are naive and credulous enough to be taken in.
Most are seeking to consume the lies to confirm their worldview.

  6. Why don’t they just let in some independant journalists who aren’t controlled by Israel so people can get some real facts, not just propaganda or selected narratives that confirm built in bias? I’m hard pressed to believe either narrative atm.

    1. So any news organisation not presenting the Gaza-Hamas angelic/Israel-Jews evil narrative is controlled by Israel. Got it.

    2. The anti-semitic arseh*le self-identifies. Well done, Achmed. Now go back to sticking your posterior in the air five times a day, praying to Satan.

    3. Because HAMAS kills any journalists that tell the truth of what goes on in Gaza and Israel can’t guarantee their safety, that’s why.

  7. Al Jazeera must have learned from the CBC.

The CBC mastered disinfo decades ago – constantly highlighting some far-left public sector union doofuses protesting to push some Marxist cause of the day using a narrow lens to make a small group appear larger. And writing articles pretending that these unrepresentative, self-serving weirdos represented a large spectrum of society.

    And vice versa.

    1. The CBC is one of the worst….but there are lots of media outlets that play this game…..I recall years ago seeing a picture on the front page of the Globe and Mail showing a Nelson Mandela march in Cape Town, South Africa….lots of people marching on the streets. I then was able to find the full frame picture that the Globe and Mail used…..and they artfully cropped the picture (which was a bit of a challenge for them, no doubt) to cut out all the hammer and sickle flags in the march. They were EVERYWHERE, but the Globe wanted to cover that part of it up.

  8. I can’t tell the difference between a starving Palestinian, a lying Palestinian and a terrorist Palestinian.

Israel is fighting an existential war.
They are fighting a war the rest of the non-Islamic world is going to have to fight.

  9. It is common for “respected” media outlets to fake or stage pictures….Reuters is one of the worst…..

Of course, the CBC is famous for it. Back in 2000, Calgary was host to the World Petroleum Congress. Of course, the whacked out green leftist zombies were protesting….the City had erected chain link fences along the C-Train line downtown which runs east/west. But the fences were open to the streets that run perpendicular to the C-Train line to allow traffic to flow. I watched as the CBC “reporter” and film crew were talking to the protesters and had them stand on one side of the fence and the CBC was on the other side. Then the “reporter” told the protesters to grab the fence and start shaking it as though they were trying to get through and chant one of their typically stupid chants….(in this case it was “this is what democracy looks like”….the they should have chanted, “this is what mental illness looks like”). Of course, the open part of the fence was 10 feet to the right of these idiots.

I watched the CBC “news” that night and of course, it was zoomed into about 10 of these moronic protesters and it was clear the video was designed to pretend that the protesters were held back by the fence.

As Kate has said…you can’t hate them enough.

  10. On Fox News at Night a commenter made a correct observation. “Imagine if in 1941 Britain was required to provide aid, pre-bombing warnings, etc. to the Germans.” (paraphrased a tiny bit)

  11. Faking photographs is nothing new. Look how the paid off Lieberal CBC press covered the Freedom Convoy.

  12. Personally I’d like to know what they use to keep those pots and pans so friggin clean.

  13. I’ve seen a video clip … played repeatedly … showing the arm of a man with a ladle of bright yellow water that they claim is “soup”. There’s NOTHING in that soup … just yellow water. No ‘body’ of a soup … no vegetables, no potatoes, nope … just looks like loads of yellow dye #7 and water.

And the forlorn chillllllldren are thrusting their pots forward, clanging and tipping into one another in crazed chaos. And the ladle is pouring as much on the ground as in anyone’s pot. What an utter sham. They tried their best to film a Pink Floyd video of the headmaster screaming … “if you don’t eat any meat, you can’t have any pudding”

What an utter mockery. FAKE news

  14. I think Gaza should be provide the same food aid as Japan and the Phillipines after WW2: SPAM. Lots of SPAM. Okinawa developped a wide variety of dishes based on SPAM.
