O, Sweet Saint Of San Andreas

Hear my prayer.

To support those residents in Pacific Palisades and Eaton who had lost homes – and in some cases – all their earthly possessions in the January 7, 8 and 9 Fires, a Fire Aid Benefit Concert was held on January 30, 2025. FireAid raised an estimated $100 million […]

The Annenberg Foundation was tasked with administering the funds. This editor emailed that organization after the reader’s inquiry and asked, “How much of the funds were spent specifically for the Palisades and which nonprofits in that community are receiving money?”

There was no reply.

Spoiler alert! The money went to lefty NGOs.

  1. “Spoiler alert! The money went to lefty NGOs.”

From the file labeled ‘No Shit Sherlock’.

  2. But the people who donated feel better right? That’s all you need.

  3. l turn 74 end of summer.
lve studied history and politics 60 years. BA poli sci.
lve never seen an entire state run by grifters.
why does ANYBODY choose to live there and
subject all that is dear to them to that hideousness? forever and 6 ways to sunday?

  4. This is what makes it so difficult to donate to charity these days. I often don’t feel confident that the money will go to the purported cause, but rather I suspect it will get syphoned off by a host of parasites.

  5. Maybe it’s just me, but does Gavin Newsom bear a resemblance to Alfred E. Newman?

  6. Annenberg … ?…. Annenberg …?… Annenberg…?….
    Oh yeah!
Barry Obama and his buddy, the free-as-a-bird domestic terrorist Bill Ayers, hijacked that foundation.

  7. And now do the Clinton Foundation USING the Haitian earthquake CRISIS to scam funds from well-meaning donors. “Never let a crisis go to waste”? Yeah … as a mega-fund-raising scamster vehicle.

And ask Boomtown Rats Bob Geldof Live Aid Organizer where all the money went from the largest-ever worldwide fund raising concert held to feed the starvin’ black chil’ren in Africa? Psst … there STILL has never been an audit of where the money went.

Sorry to be so “simplistic” … but why and does this happen? … Immorality. Raising money on false pretenses like this would be unthinkable and would have been dealt with SEVERELY … back when we were a God-loving, God-fearing people. But our culture has become completely untethered. We’ve gone from The Lord’s Prayer to the Communist credo … “By Any Means Necessary”.

I’ll just leave this decidedly un-Stones Rolling Stones song that came out in the GREEDY 1980’s … when it became fashionable to “Do Anything” to get rich … because nothing else mattered anymore.

    1. Yeah, yeah … but what about “Christians” like Jim and Tammy Faye Baker collecting the alms from poor people so they could live LARGE? Well … where are they now? Jim was convicted of fraud and sent to prison. Cheered as loudly by Christians as the godless heathens.

But will ANY of these leftists be prosecuted for their blatant FRAUD? Of course not.

      1. Yep. ”We are the world … we are the children”. Yeah, children who steal other children’s lunch money.

Speaking of children … Michael Jackson was the face and the voice of Live Aid. Enough said.

  8. Is anyone surprised that corruptofornia would steal and that’s what happened 100 million and know they would face zero consequences for the theft.
Grifters steal everything that’s how they do it, by conning people. So are we surprised? Not me.

  9. I was looking at this a couple weeks ago. They had a vague, non-committal, and highly aloof article on the Annenberg Foundation news page that was supposed to explain where all the money went. In the article they only accounted for $1 Million or the $100 Million. They claim to have given $1 Million directly to a fire company for equipment. Although the details were lacking.

In the article there was a link that “allegedly” listed the non-profits that received the funds. The link took you to a page that showed a bunch of music producers like Will.I.Am. I didn’t recognize the other ones. They all had “foundations” if you know what I mean.

I wanted to pull up the article and post a link, but the Annenberg Foundation Website is currently only showing a black page with the words “Wallis Annenberg 1939 – 2025” . Wallis Annenberg was the party running the foundation and she died at age 86 this morning. So, no link.

    1. They gave $1 million for off road fire equipment… which would have been useful before everything burnt down.

There is also a wide selection of lefty charities, some of which were moribund before they got an infusion of cash.
