  1. Ten-Year Sentence Sought for Criticizing Cuba’s Government

“According to the prosecution, Verdecia wrote phrases such as: “no more blackouts, down with Díaz-Canel, down with the communist tyranny” [sic], and demanded freedom for political prisoners. He was arrested on February 6, 2025, one year after the posts, and remains in pretrial detention at Las Mangas provincial prison in Granma.”

  2. What frightens me is that historically most every human innovation was weaponized before the benefits were realized for the common folk. And our “Owners” as George Carlin once noted are those resident in “The City” of London who will be the first in line. Sadly they’re not known for being all that magnanimous. Trans-humanism may well be the prelude to the post-human age.

Justice Dube described Al Hayawi — born in Toronto and a high school Grade A student who played football and volunteered at his local mosque — as someone he doesn’t usually encounter in the local courts…

  4. Here is an interesting tidbit. The Globe and Mail is the exclusive media partner of the notorious Century Initiative — the charity advocating for 100 million Canadians by the end of the century:

(scroll to the very bottom of the above link)

The charity-lobby group had to play catch-up after the record increase in Canada’s population. The group, with many ties to the Liberal party, has reconfigured its web site, adding “economic gtowth”, “increased productivity” and other sunny objectives. No mention though of the surge in housing prices, youth unemployment rates, violent crime, etc.

Btw, Globe columnist and CBC pundit Andrew Coyne strongly supports the Century Initiative:

  5. Mississauga man arrested for sexually assaulting girls under 16. The Peel police…

…identified the perp as Cerlos Galeano, pictured in the above press release.

Yet CBC news reported the arrest without mentioning the perps name or showing his picture:

So here the CBC protect the perp, but leave the vulnerable in danger.
