A Long Row To Hoe

What’s the biggest hurdle facing Trump’s efforts to deport illegal immigrants? It’s not public protests or pushback from the courts, but the simple fact that there are now 18 million of them.

The Trump administration states that its planned large budget increases for hiring more ICE agents and private contractors, and expanding detention capability, will allow the administration to deport one million people per year. In other words, that’s still just four million deportations total and the best case scenario—from the administration’s perspective—under current goals.

That would only put the administration back to near where the Bush administration was more than a decade ago. Moreover, this is in the context of current immigration numbers, and the administration’s supporters tell us that there are currently more than 18 million illegal aliens in the United States as of early 2025. So, the administration’s best-case scenario would mean the administration has few hopes of deporting even a quarter of the existing population of illegal immigrants.

  1. The left will eventually win, but only for a short time, according to Jesus:

    Matthew 24:21-22 New Living Translation

21 For there will be greater anguish than at any time since the world began. And it will never be so great again. 22 In fact, unless that time of calamity is shortened, not a single person will survive. But it will be shortened for the sake of God’s chosen ones.

    1. Just wanted to add there was nary a peep from the “Let My People Go” crazies.

But Trump does it and all hell breaks loose on the batshit insane front.

  2. Chicago arresting illegals with “deportation force”.

One man interviewed said “we don’t know who is arresting our brothers and sisters because they are wearing a mask” while … wearing a mask.

One man arrested had lots of weapons in his home and was in the USA illegally. Whoops…

  3. The objective is self-deportation, since if you get caught you will be ineligible to return, so it’s better to exit for the duration of the current action, and then return later, and also apply to legally enter.

The criminal element will probably get caught up in the deportation pushes, including those who used a stolen SSN in order to work.

  4. This sort of thing has been going on for a long time, and not just in the US.

In late 1976/early 1977 Prince Bishop St. Enoch of Blessed Memory drew our attention to a “clerical error” whereby the official figure of 17,000 immigrants admitted to the UK during the year in question (maybe 1976) was amended to 86,000.

Extrapolate to US figures … and the US never had an Enoch equivalent until the Donald burst onto the scene…. and you see there’s a problem ….

  5. Cut off all free stuff and benefits, including not hiring illegals and many of them will leave out of need.

  6. Does this article not understand they are criticizing Trump for FAILING to meet his deportation goals and not even deporting as many illegals as his predecessors … YET … the article admits those previous Administrations primarily “deported” people AT the border, when and where they crossed.

Trump has effectively SHUT THE BORDER DOWN.

Hence, Trump has defacto STOPPED (Prophylactically-deported) the same number, if not more, illegals than those prior Presidents. Every illegal he deports from the interior of the USA is just frosting on the cake.

No, this Trump aficionado isn’t the slightest bit disappointed at how Trump is handling the border and deportations. However … I DO expect the Democraps and WEF RINOS and the Chamber of Commerce addicts to slavish-paid labor are VERY ANGRY at Trump’s success dealing with illegals.
