Simple Truths that TDS-infected Normies Can’t Understand

I don’t know about the rest of you, but I’ve completely given up discussing American politics with assorted friends who are clearly infected with TDS and stuck on narratives that are fueled by ignorance. What’s discussed in this video is a simple litmus test. If a person, watching this, can’t understand why Trump is succeeding and the Democrats are failing, it’s clear that they’re lost. It really is pointless to engage in any American political discussion.

Related: Several women, who have traditionally voted Democrat, have woken up.

Thought Experiment: A clear majority of American men will absolutely not vote for Democrats. Yet, the vast majority of Canadian men, could they vote in American elections, would vote for Democrats. What does this say about Canadian men? Beta-males? Cucks? Ignorant to the extreme? Something else?

  1. I understand why Democrats are failing. They went woke, allowing their party to become seeped in DEI culture. One need only look at California, or those cities that have long had Democratic leadership, to know why you shouldn’t vote for the party. It’s hard to support a group who don’t know a man from a woman.

But taking issue with Trump is not derranged. This is a badly flawed president, with childish and authoritarian impulses.

Those Americans who are centre right and lean heavily towards classic liberalism are in a quandry. Neither party is inviting.

    1. I’ve never, ever suggested that Trump is a perfect candidate.

But seriously, what is your explanation for why Canadian males enthusiastically would vote for Kamala Harris / Joe Biden and the Democrats without any reservations at all?

      1. When you’ve been marinated in the glories of socialism since birth, the Democrat Party is the obvious choice.

      2. Culture drives politics. Media, entertainment, academia, unionized public sector, all captured institutions and all creatures of, or clients of the state. Harris may have been a drunken, mindless, former whore but she was a whore of the left and the state. Politics is Tribal and essentially mindless.

          1. I suspect that their tribal allegiance shifted at some point due to blatant observed hypocrisies and absurdities embraced by the left but there could be any number of reasons. The number of gratuitous “likes” inserted in sentence structure and appearance suggest them to be younger than my kids. It would be interesting to hear their opinions on critical issues on say the debt, trade, inflation, legitimate roles, if any, of the state, etc. I’m reminded of the 1980s controversial BC Judge and Vancouver Sun columnist, Les Bewley, who infamously declared that women don’t get any brains until age thirty. I’m guessing that they are somewhere close to that age threshold. The female demographic mentality of the ban-the-bra era is much more disconcerting as they are responsible for Carney’s victory. On the plus side they will be gone in the next decade or two and on the not so plus side (IMHO), so will I.

      3. If you’re surrounded by people with a certain viewpoint, you tend to adopt that viewpoint for yourself. Some people think things through and have the courage to run counter to their peers, but most of us tend not to.

And that goes no matter where you are in the political spectrum.

        1. “…you tend to adopt that viewpoint for yourself.”

          Normies do, I observe.

I’ve never been that way myself, somebody says ‘this is how it is, kid’ I like to know why. When they don’t have a reason, these days I assume they’re lying or a fool. In the old days I’d go find out why, and most often find out is was BS.

Why do we need to have our car safety inspected by government-approved weenies when we buy it? We don’t. It’s BS and they’re just stealing our money. But if you ask Normies, they’ll tell you it’s very important for safety and we would all die for sure except for that inspection. I do admit it helps to live in a place where cars are not safety-inspected, the lack of wrecks pretty much proves the point in a way that cannot be ignored.

Now expand the frame to ten year permitting processes for building projects, and observe that US states where permitting is one year are not poisonous wastelands filled with cancer-riddled zombies. Ask a Normie, he’ll tell you ten years is the minimum and 15 would be better.

Because Normies -believe- the propaganda. I don’t. Never did, really, and I have the scars to prove it. When you don’t believe the BS the Normies push you out. That’s how they are.

          1. We all like to think we’re independent thinkers. Most of us are wrong.

          2. Sure dude. Do you know what happens to independent thinkers? They get told to sit down and shut up by Normies. Kind of like what you’re doing here, with the passive aggressive bit.

I’m impervious, bro. Autism for the win. Bring receipts next time.

          3. You think I’m telling you to sit down and shut up, do you? Interesting take, given that no where was that said.

If someone politely disagreeing with you cramps your style, then maybe social media isn’t for you.

      1. I believe there are great forces, from both the Democrats & Republicans, to never let this happen.

I’m not old enough to know what struggles the NDP had to face to come into power. I do remember the rise of Reform. That took the devastating loss of Kim Campbell’s Conservatives to make that happen.

The UK is currently in a similar situation to what Canada was facing back when Reform was on the rise. One difference is that Preston Manning sincerely wanted positive change for Canada. I think Nigel Farage is a poseur with no real values.

        1. Robert.
I completely disagree with you with regards to Preston manning.
I last voted liberal in 1968, saw the light during the October crisis. 1970.
Have voted none of the above since.
I thought I saw a light at the end of the tunnel with reform.
I think Preston Manning is fully responsible for the down-fall of reform.

          1. I’m open that my memory is failing me. Please do elaborate on why you feel that Preston Manning caused real reform of Canadian politics to occur.

      2. A third party is simply not possible in the US. You might have an extremely popular candidate that forms their own party and wins an election, but that party will die with them.
It’s a flawed system, and everyone regardless of political beliefs has to choose one party or the other.

        1. I’ll tell you what’s a flawed system … “coalition governments” and “ranked choice voting”. People who slam our two-party system always FAIL to acknowledge a massive component of our system … Presidential Elections every 4-years.

Meanwhile … Canada had to suffer Trudeau for nearly 10 years … and you’ll probably do 10 more with your bureaucrat Banker in charge. Please don’t bother lecturing me about two viable political Parties. All your fringe Parties simply siphon off votes from your two main Parties and then have to join with one of two Parties anyway … hence making that ONE Party even worse.

          1. Right or wrong, several of the Founding Fathers were against parties and that includes a guy named Hamilton and another guy named George Washington.
But I’m sure you knew that.

          2. Nor am in favor of Political Parties … which are PRIVATE enterprises … that have nothing to do with our constitution or our government. But Im sure you knew that? I’m not in favor of (R) (D) (Libertarian) (Green)or Peace and Freedom, or Socialist, or American Communist, etc.

But that is the REAL-politic of our current system. As understood Trump … effectively a Third Party … he used the two-Party system to bring about CHANGE. Smart. Effective.

          3. Not a lecture.
            Reality.
            And American history.
The difference in votes between the two “main” parties in Canada was about 5-600,000 votes. Not a lot.

      3. The US desperately needs more political diversity. The Dems and GOP are like two companies who’ve established a bullet-proof market oligopoly.

    2. “Childish and authoritarian impulses”.
Not a substantive argument in any way whatsoever. Get back to me when you can form a cogent argument. Perhaps you’ve simply grown most comfortable with the meaningless drivel that has emanated from countless government Administrations who … “sounded more Presidential”. Teleprompters and Autopens.

Let me tell you how REAL men conduct themselves in the REAL world. We don’t waste time with niceties. Either get it done, or get out. In the REAL world, REAL men don’t have jobs without producing results. Hence Trump told ICE to step UP the pace of deportations. Get it done! We don’t have time to make no more than 500 deportations per day. Step it up!

      1. 1. Knock off the personal remarks.

        2. Trump’s childish impulses are on display nearly every day. Look how he threatens private companies that displease him, like Apple and Amazon. Look how he publicly berates judges who don’t rule in his favour. That is grossly inappropriate for a president.

        3. Political strong men do not have a good history, beginning with Benito Mussolini. Life isn’t an Ayn Rand novel.

        1. I made no personal remarks to you. But you already knew that.

Why can’t a President speak his mind about US Corporations who have offshored all of their manufacturing, thus leaving America without a viable manufacturing base of critical basic materials and medications? What’s unpresidential about that? It’s unpresidential to just ignore it and pretend it doesn’t matter.

Berate judges who make idiotic, unconstitutional rulings that get overturned by the SCOTUS? A true President … a true Leader is OBLIGATED to call out each and every Leftist activist Judge who flaunt their office and the Laws of the land. You speak as if a Judgeship is beyond critique, beyond reproach? And have you read what these Judges have SAID about President Trump? Please.

          1. Marmot is a Normie. He’s telling you to sit down and shut up because you are arguing against The Consensus.

Seriously, Kenji. How dare you come up with a reasoned argument against the Holy Consensus?! The nerve of some people’s kids, I tell you.

          2. Get back to me when you can form a cogent argument. Perhaps you’ve simply grown most comfortable with the meaningless drivel

See all those “you”‘s? For future reference, those are personal remarks.

    3. Actually President Trump is doing what I voted, hired him for, to be a wrecking ball. The corruption is being exposed, everyone’s smelling the stink that is D.C. A flawed President? Yes, but of course, but in this day and age of mass psychosis, considering the choices he’s the best we could get.

      1. 327 million people, and Trump’s the best you can do? I’m skeptical.

  2. “What does this say about Canadian men? Beta-males? Cucks? Ignorant to the extreme? ”

    Embrace the power of ‘AND’.

And it is not just young men, the vast majority of the senior men I golf with are pretty easy to rile up by not agreeing with their TDS. ( helps win a few bucks by bringing it up during the round 🙂 ) But then, they also vote liberal.

    1. “Embrace the power of ‘AND’” – It was you or someone else who introduced me to this brilliant phrase!

I actually plan to ask two fellows I know in Vancouver about this. Both are public school teachers. Both live small-“C” conservative lives. I don’t know how they vote in Canadian elections but both have severe TDS, would have gleefully voted for Kamala Harris, and have openly wished harm on ICE agents doing their jobs.

When I do ask them the question about Canadian males voting Left vs. American males voting right, I suspect that they’ll say that American men are stupid. In other words, they’ll be saying that they, as Canadians, know much more about what it’s like to live in America than … wait for it … actual Americans living there.

  3. TDS is a self-inflicted mental illness. Acquired by choice, what’s worse is that they revel in it.

  4. I might be wrong but ….I think the depopulation of the rural areas of Canada has led to an urban culture to many generations removed from the farm. They have been sitting ducks, subjected to heavily influenced state media and told what to think every day.
Independent media and “conservative” media has played a far greater role in the U.S. than in Canada.
Conservative talk radio personalities in Canada have always tempered their positions on social issues. Even fiscal…yet talk a good game. Canadian urban males know the US to be a more “masculine” culture and country and in knee jerk response will adopt a different worldview.
    And be arrogant about it.
Where everyone thinks the same no one thinks very much.

    1. I know of several large SF Bay Area cities that have summer camps they run in the Sierra … for the express purpose of educating the concreted urban youth about … nature. I believe their heart is in the right place about showing a broader slice of life than can be seen from the tenement. However! If they really wanted to educate the kids, they’d send them to work on a farm. To wake at 4am and start chores that will hopefully conclude by 7pm. And to see the cycles of life in full technicolor reality. I think that could change lives.

  5. Sigh I am surrounded by liberal white women who loath Trump, they hiss and spit in outrage when they aren’t hanging their 150th wee Canadian flag. Frankly I trigger them every chance I get, I’ll rub their face in Carney’s incompetence every chance I get.

  6. Yet, the vast majority of Canadian men, could they vote in American elections, would vote for Democrats.

Behold the result of censorship, state run media, and a severe lack of alternative information sources. Pair that with a perceived “conservative” Canadian political establishment that is lazy, lacking savvy, and refuses to capitalize on mistakes of the opposition.

The Earth is flat says the media in Canada. There is no alternative entity countering that statement with any massive appeal (present company excluded).

    1. “There is no alternative entity countering that statement with any massive appeal.”

There are quite a few one-man/woman youtube channels with better numbers than the CBC. I like Moose on the Loose and Over Opinionated. Kate probably does better than the Globe and the Post combined on any given day.

So there are alternatives now, which is the main reason #CarkMarney doesn’t have a majority today.

        1. That’s right, I forgot about that. I didn’t follow that channel, so didn’t notice.

Yes, the beast will fight back. But, alternatives are popping up so much they can’t nuke everything. Yet, anyway.

If they do manage to lack down Canadian youtube etc. there’s always Canadians in exile and VPNs to tunnel through the Great Maple Syrup Firewall. Censorship is treated as damage. The Web routs around it.

  7. Funny, when Trump was thought to be a Dem, he was the darling. When he ran as a Republican, he instantly became enemy no. 1. Yet, nothing about him changed.
It does show just how easily most human minds can be manipulated. Just like how the Lieberals went from destroying the country to the only ones who could save it. Yes, most of the population is really that stupid.

    1. We watched Elon go from saint to Satan in a couple of hours. I always thought that George Orwell was overly pessimistic in 1984, with huge crowds turning on a dime, but there it is right in front of us. A real, live, Two Minute Hate.

Two plus two equals four, mother f-ers.

  8. I have a friend who is an extreme Trump and Musk hater. The other day he was going on about how bad Trump smells because Adam Kinzinger said so as did some nobody who used to work on The Apprentice, seriously, no joke, like it’s common knowledge. You just stop engaging at this point and laugh in their face.

  9. Short answer, propaganda works.

Longer answer, if you’ve never lived outside Canada for more than a year, you cannot appreciate the depth and breadth of propaganda programing we’ve all been subjected to since birth. I lived in the USA for ten years, and after the first year I began to truly understand the sheer weight of false assumptions I was laboring under.

This is not to say that the USA is the home of Truth and Light. Their media and institutions lie! High, wide and handsome.

    But the lies don’t match!

Being from Canada, I would point and laugh at obviously false assertions made by officials, media weenies, teachers, and my American friends would be surprised. “How do you know?” they would always say, and I would tell them how it is in Canada, and the BS they say there. Between us we would winkle out the lies.

But that’s just media and public statements. The longer I lived there the more things I found that are Holy Writ in Canada that various states in the USA don’t do at all. One example that shocked me, when I bought a crappy old car in Arizona and went to get it licensed, there was no mandatory inspection. The license desk was a drive-through window. I actually asked the lady about it, she laughed and said they could inspect it if I wanted but it wasn’t required. It seems Canadians were uniformly shocked and surprised about it, and she thought it was hilarious.

Starting a business and getting it registered in Ontario costs $5K in legal fees and government fees, and there’s a complex accounting for taxes. You can’t really do it without a lawyer AND an accountant, it isn’t practical. Starting a business and getting it registered in Arizona? You go on a website. No lawyer, no accountant. Registration fee less than $100, I think I paid $25 for my PT clinic.

Gun license? Canada, impossible. Arizona, you don’t need no stinking license, open carry. Concealed carry, there’s a course you take, you pay some money, and they HAVE TO give you a concealed carry permit. Have to. They are not allowed to say no.

And shockingly, the roads are not filled with wrecked cars, the businesses function properly, and so forth. Phoenix is a far better and far SAFER city than Toronto. I want to retire there someday when I’m old.

People don’t know what they don’t know. They assume the government is telling the truth about needing to inspect your used car, needing all those complex forms to start a business, banning firearms, and a myriad of other ridiculous regulations. They don’t know it’s all a lie, they’ve never gone anywhere else.

Worse, they are all desperate to be right about everything, and so they defend the lies vigorously if you point and laugh. Their own vanity makes it impossible to admit the Canadian government is run by thieves and liars.

Tell a Canadian that #Trump’s “Very fine people” quote is a lie, and get ready for a 20 minute dissertation on how stupid you are. It -is- a lie, of course, and it has been debunked time after time, but you are still going to be stupid to that guy. He KNOWS how it is.

And that is how #CarkMarney and his clown circus won an election. The Normies held their faith all the way through a PLAGUE my friends. Currently we are having a famine, and they are still holding their faith. You can’t leave your car at the GO station park-n-ride because some “foreign student” will sell it to Saudi Arabia while you’re at work, and still they hold.

I think the Normies will hold until each of them suffers a catastrophic loss. Mugging, house fire, loss of family member, 401K wiped out, house prices crater. All at once, the same year. Then, -maybe- in their misery, the light will go on. Maybe. But as we know from history it took a crushing and total defeat to wake the Germans, and the Japanese had to be nuked. Twice.

And that is why your family members and neighbors are so f-ing stupid. Enjoy the decline.

    1. Wow, thank you!

Please revisit SDA early Monday morning EDT / late today PDT.

      1. I claim no special knowledge or expertise, that’s just what happened to me out there in the world. Going by your flag there the same thing probably happened to you. It isn’t subtle, right?

I strongly think we should pay a lot more attention to what people from other countries have to say about Canada these days. I know a man from India who came here in the 1970s (to escape India) and was very successful in business and stock trading. He’s well over 80 now, and says that Canada today is worse than India was in the 1970s, the place he crossed the world to escape. He also says that the stock market these days is straight-up gambling, you can’t tell what’s going to happen based on company fundamentals, and he strongly suspects it’s rigged. He makes his bets these days based on the riggings.

        I believe him.

    2. America and Americans are hardly perfect … but there are REASONS why we have thrived, grown, and created the highest standard of living the planet has ever seen. Hating US is akin to hating success and the successful. It all comes down to jealously and envy. And what better focus for those personally destructive emotions than onto a Billionaire POTUS. A Billionaire who actually BUILDS and has BUILT … REAL properties. REAL things.

They attack Trump on ephemeral issues. Cause that’s how the TDS’ers think … in abstractions that have nothing to do with reality.

      1. “…there are REASONS why we have thrived…”

Yes. This is quite true, and speaking as a foreigner one of those reasons is Americans refuse to say that anybody is better than they are. There is no allowance for elitism. The rich snotty fratboy will get his ticket punched in any bar in the nation if he puts on his air of superiority. Also, Americans will talk to -anybody-.

That is not the case in Canada, where elitism is still quietly a thing, and nobody says a word to anyone they don’t know or aren’t related to. Toronto streets are often silent even when crowded, you can hear people walking. Like a church almost.

Canada USED to thrive too. We had it all, baby. That stopped in the 1970s pretty much, and it’s been downhill since. Socialism.

The other thing that saves you is you have 50 states. I would venture that very d@mn few businesses and individuals are thriving right now in California. Your state is beginning to approach the level of centralized control and taxation that Canadians have put up with since (I’m guessing) the 1980s. The thing that saves you is that you can LEAVE California and go to Florida, or South Dakota, Texas, or wherever you want and get your freedom back. And your taxes lowered.

We can’t do that. All the BS is -national- and effects the whole country. The noise you’re hearing in Alberta is a province of Canadians finally hitting the wall and admitting that they can’t let Ottawa put them all out of business. There’s too much money at stake, too many jobs, too many businesses. It’s better to fight than go along, they don’t really have a choice.

This could be the beginning of a beautiful thing. If things change and I can have low taxes and go shooting when I want in Alberta, I might move there. I like shooting, it’s a fun sport. Can’t do it here, it isn’t practical. Just like California.

    3. I am fortunate that my two brothers and their families are not fooled by Canuckistanian propaganda. In-laws, we won’t discuss them.

  10. In my area ,it is a lonely place to not be afflicted by TDS. I have found it useless to point out the often repeated main stream narrative is often incorrect. In one case where a long time friend who could spout verbatim the whole Trump narrative, I was told to leave and and he punched the wall. I am apparently the worlds greatest conspiracy theorist. My crime? I told him it wasn’t safe to continue taking the jab , followed by asking if he knew what the Steele dossier was. By the way ,he was very proud of the fact he had received his 9th jab. Asking another friend what exactly Trump has done that makes him a bad man , the best he could come up with was he golfs too much. I am under no illusion he is a perfect man, but the hate expands to every individual associated with him and his administration. In social salutations ,it is a Trump hate fest , and I have chosen to avoid them as I know i will not change minds. Possibly I am part of the problem , as I am to dogmatic. I think Trump has taken the 51first state narrative a little to far. It did help to rid us of Trudeau. However, Carney is worse. In a large part the fueling of Canadian nationalism and underlying anti Americanism led to his win. The thing is given the present immigration levels (850,000 Jan through April) projected over 4 years, the Canada of our youth or even of today , ceases to exist . The democracy illusion continues.

    1. “My crime? I told him it wasn’t safe to continue taking the jab…”

Do not get me started. I told quite a few people the jab was a Mad Science genetic modification experiment and I wasn’t going to take it, particularly after I had Covid and it wasn’t even a proper cold. Arguments ranged from “you’re just afraid of needles” to “g-d d-mn it, when are you going to join the Human race?!” Not very persuasive, I must say, but everybody felt very free to tell me off about it for a couple of years. Up to about 2022, as I recall, when everybody in the country had

It’s funny, now that everybody knows the jab was BS and Covid was BS too, and the “take the jab or lose you job” orders were illegal BS… I haven’t heard any apologies from anybody who told me off for not getting it. Not a single one.

    1. Support Pantifa? Of course they do.

They support #HamAss and think they should do October 7th every week.

Furthermore they support importing 800,000 “asylum seekers” since January while every park in Toronto is full of “asylum seekers”.

They might change their minds if -their- car gets burned for Palestine. See, that’s different.

    2. Those cheering the Antifa terrorists against ICE are the same who cheered when the TPS Mounted Unit stomped two people in Ottawa.

So why are we such staunch Demonrat supporters?
Because we are soaked in the nanny state, from birth and it is almost impossible to have an adult conversation with any “well educated” Canadian on the reasons we are so broke.

TDS is a natural extention of the frightened reaction you get, when attempting to examine/address our State of Thuggery.

And that institutional envy of the USA..so institutional that we have borrowed for years,so we could pretend to be “As wealthy as those damn Americans”.
    Canada,Confederated Canada is a fraud.
