    1. Calls him TWICE … to offer the FULL power of the Presidency to Adams. If nothing else … “the right to choose”!! I was literally choked up listening to Scott’s recap of his multiple Trump phone interactions. And THIS … is the guy they call “Hitler”. Leftists Puhleeze !?

      And Scott. I’m praying for a miracle. Your voice and your rational thinking should NEVER be silenced.

      There are quite a few stories about Donald Trump’s compassion and generosity, going back years. They never, ever get reported on by the MSM.

      2. The stories are out there, though, and that’s a good thing. I am sure there are many, many more that that we haven’t heard about and that’s a good thing, too. Not everything needs to be made public.

As someone who’s not politically on the same page of either these two folks most of the time, I felt that this was a good humanizing moment to remind us that most of us have redemptive qualities that transcend partisan divide. You couldn’t have a country or allies in the first place were that not the case. I wish Scott all the best in these really tough times.

    1. Ivan … you’re someone I would listen to. I would seriously consider your views that … superficially … conflict with my own … but that I would consider. Why? Because you are a rational, compassionate person. For that reason alone, I would listen to your viewpoints carefully.

    2. Can anyone imagine any mainstream administrative state politician doing this?
      Biden? Kamala? Trudeau? Carney? Singh? You might have to go back to Reagan or Harper for that.

  5. Trump never ceases to impress me. When you wipe away all the lies, the smears, the ad hominems and all you’re left with is the actual man, the person he really is stands out as one of the greatest humans of all time.

  6. The care and empathy that Trump expresses for those in troubling circumstances is greater than anything we’ve seen from a president in decades. He is a Great Man.

  8. No surprise. People who pay attention know he’s a genuinely decent man. I’ve admired Trump since the fall of 1986. Landscape Architecture class field trip to NYC. Central Park. At the time (being from South Jersey) I hadn’t heard of how he took over the disastrous Wolman Rink rehabilitation project from the city and restored it to its original glory in no time flat. I’ve paid attention to the man ever since. Not perfect of course, having heard in the 1990s from people I know how he screwed various South Jersey contractors on his Atlantic City Taj Mahal casino project. Assuming he continues on his current path though, he may go down as a top five president.
