  1. Here’s an idea – retool them to make drilling rigs, service rigs, pumpjacks and pipeline pipe! Then let’s see how quickly a pipeline to the East Coast gets built. And along the way, maybe we can start building tough oilfield trucks again, given how Kenworth just recently killed most of its heavy duty trucks meant to go off highway.

    1. Silly Brian. She said the government will guarantee their incomes … even when they have NOTHING to do. Why would they want to work on your climate-killing machinery?

  2. You mean working almost anywhere in Canada ……
The worse it gets the more phony they’ll be.
The question is are people going to get pi–ed finally?
Loved the hand clap at the end.

  3. Given a choice between a government that decrees all vehicles must be electric, which doesn’t sell, or a government that says build what sells – where do you think companies will go? Tariffs are a factor but not the only one.
The Libs have targeted the oil and gas industry overtly but the auto industry covertly. Or is it through incompetence and ideology? Never underestimate the cluelessness of a Liberal.

    1. one day of FA and 5 years of FO. I have washed my hands of caring what happens to Canada.

      1. Ditto. Canada has been dead to me for a decade at least. Everything is broken and I doubt even Poilievre could have fixed it.

        1. As an establishment politician, PP would have done nada to rock the boat. We need a firebrand. And there isn’t one to be found north of 49. That’s why WEXIT!

  4. “We’ve got two billions in investments for those workers” Con man Carney will pay the salaries of laid off workers because we haven’t got a clue about how to stop that, and better yet, they are investments, and the con man is going to count those differently. Not that we’ll know, because there is no budget, and isn’t going to be a budget. We are only getting a fall economic update. I thought a budget was required, if not by law, than certainly by custom?

    1. They don’t have 2 billions in investments. They’re broke and running a $64B deficit every year and it’s poised to get worse. Ontario’s provincial debt is almost a half trillion dollars, twice that of California’s, in equal dollars. They don’t have $2B in investments, they have a line of credit.

    2. Bingo, I also noted that approach and number. At least she didn’t say “so it’s BOHICA time, Alberta…”

        1. Rid Stewart said it best,

urine my heart, urine my soul
urine my breath till I grow old
urine my lover, urine my best friend
          urine in my soul

I took all those habits of yours
That in the beginning were hard to accept,

and decided F@#$ it let’s leave already.

  5. Two billion sitting there, ready and waiting for some “possible ” damage to the auto industry. Meanwhile, western Canadian farmers have REAL damage from tariffs on canola oil, canola meal and peas, and not a peep.

  6. I’ve started looking into Mexico as an escape from what is coming in Canada. Mexico has a whole lot of problems, but if you’ve got a reasonable amount of money you can live very comfortably there. At least you’ll be able to get medical care.

  7. The government is the problem, not the solution…except to just about every Snow Mexican, no matter who they voted for.

  8. “Yes, we know, we know and we know.” I am sooo happy that she knows………..nothing. Canada’s very own “valley girl” knows nothing will happen.

  9. The canola industry (I’m not advocating for the consumption of seed oil here, but if the Chinese want to eat it I’m fine with that) is more than 2x as large in GDP contribution as the automotive industry in Canada, while she meets with representatives of those companies, (and she does seem to be “over it”) China has a 100% tariff on the importation into China of canola, but to the #Liberals that’s a western Canadian problem.

Soon, the western Canadian problem with being governed / ruled by #Libranos, is going to be eastern Canada’s problem, and not ours.

    1. Re: Eastern Canada’s Problem;
      Agreed.

Albertan’s have heard ‘demands upon Ottawa’ before,
but these latest from Danielle Smith and Scott Moe
are delivered with much more confidence than anger.

  10. It has always been about keeping power in Ont and Que. Always. Whatever happens to the West, well too bad. Eastern Canada must always be supported. And Alberta can never, ever be allowed to become too prosperous or powerful. They will actively seek to undermine Alberta at every step.

  11. FILTHY LIBERALS
I bet the Elbows Up Mafia love this Bilingual Illiterate.. .

The losers that voted FILTHY LIBERAL must be so proud of her.

  12. Hands up if you’re eager to drive a “zero” emissions Canadian version of the Volkswagon, only far more expensive and only takes you 50km per charge. Honk, honk.

  13. Horse faced horse frenched Joly is as arrogant as she is incompetent.

I hear she is very popular at WEF/LIberal regime headquarters in Davos.

    1. Come on, Sean, she’s quite good looking. And if one must be a cheap whore, that’s the best way to go about it. We could have Sheila Copps talking the same shit and it wouldn’t be the same, would it?

  14. Canadian “elbows up” crowd elected that ignorant waste of skin and they don’t give a good Godd#*&m . I gave up on this place long ago .

  15. Toilet paper alert:

    https://sutherlandhousebooks.com/product/the-crisis-of-canadian-democracy/

Andrew Coyne, one of Canada’s most esteemed political thinkers, delivers a powerful exposé of the nation’s crumbling democratic institutions.

With characteristic wit, insight, and rigor, Coyne dismantles the comforting myths Canadians tell themselves about their political system, revealing a parliamentary structure eroded by unaccountable leaders, disempowered MPs, manipulated elections, and systemic dysfunction. The Crisis of Canadian Democracy is both a wake-up call and a call to action, offering compelling solutions to restore genuine self-government to Canadian politics. Essential reading for leaders, citizens, and anyone who cares about the future of democracy in Canada—or anywhere else.

    1. Who in God’s name cares about Canadian democracy, when the nation is one foot from the edge of a really big cliff, and sliding towards it? Alberta, Sask, get out while you can, and stop thinking about Manitoba. That’s a Librano client province, like all those east of it. It is a net taker. Get out while you can, and let this shithole implode.

    2. I wont be buying or reading anything that a Liberal Party “journalist” has to say about the corrupt Post Nation State of Turdholeland.
Although, I am curious if chinless semi- literate Andy has any thoughts on the contribution to Canadas demise by the loathsome morally and ethically corrupt political operatives disguised as “journalists” encrusted within the overwhelmingly corrupt Corporate and State Media machine.
