  1. Our conservative party was even more pathetic than Pierre P’s. They haven’t learnt to grow a pair. One wonders if they genuinely wanted to win. The opposition leader, Peter Dutton, flip-flopped so many times he could make our national breakdancing team.

    1. Agreed, this Duttons to win and he blew it Labor-Lite. This lifelong LNP voter now puts the minor freedom parties 1st and LNP, ALP and Greens 3rd last, 2nd last and last. The LNP still get my preference, but not my $5 for the 1st preference vote

  2. I keep telling people here who poo-poo the messes in Canada, the U.K., and even the U.S., that – with our track record of electing shits and incompetents, which will not improve tomorrow with labor, greens and teal lefties still ‘in charge’ and with an increased majority – we are in no position to either crow or condemn…

Maybe I should take friends’ advice and move to New Zealand! But they’re at least as consistently bad as anywhere else…!

    1. I’m thinking of moving to Australia from Canada (I have family in Sydney). Things may be as crappy there as here, but at least you don’t have to shovel snow 5 months of the year!

  3. (S)elections everywhere …..
Aussies and new Zealand are under the same mass formation psychosis as we are in cana_duh, the chicoms are laughing their asses off…. total control of these nations without firing a shot, read the book “unrestricted warfare” written by 2 chicom generals in the 70’s, it’s working perfectly!

  4. Agreed, this was Duttons to win and he blew it going Labor-Lite. This lifelong LNP voter now puts the minor freedom parties 1st and LNP, ALP and Greens 3rd last, 2nd last and last. The LNP still get my preference, but not my $5 for the 1st preference vote

  5. My favorite aspect of Australian politics is the “Teal Party” members. I read a lot of Tim Blair down there (at the Herald) and he described them perfectly. “A group of weaponized Karens.”
