Canada has one hand tied behind its back in fighting U.S. President Donald Trump’s tariffs because of a lost decade of economic growth while the Liberals were in power.

It wouldn’t be the first decade that was lost for me. I was out of work for much of the 1980s, thanks first to PET and, then, Mulruin. It wasn’t just the earnings that went missing–for every year I was unemployed, it took me at least another one, closer to two or three, to rebuild my finances to where they were before.

Apparently, there’s some sort of major police operation going on at parliament hill. A lockdown has been declared. Police are warning everyone to stay away.
So far, nothing on my other sources, so I can’t verify the seriousness, but something is definitely going on down there. Maybe it’s just a hoax, but the police presence would suggest otherwise. The lockdown order was issued about 2 hours prior to this posting.

It’s funny how this “lost decade” talk has only surfaced lately, since the #ShinyPony took his surprise walk in the snow.
I say surprise, because I am sure he did not expect it. He thought he was in it to win it come October. Then, shockah, #CarkMarney was dropped by parachute right into his spot in the crookedest leadership race ever seen in Canaduh.
But now, we get “lost decade” all over the place. Like #ShinyPony was the bad guy, and #CarkyBaby is the messiah, come to save us all. I must say the quality of mainstream media propaganda really has dropped off since #ShinyPony bought them out.

This “lost decade” is just the latest in a string of progressively worse decades that went into overdrive with PET, and each and every gov’t since then, lib and con alike, have done nothing to reverse the trend.
Stats Canada reported 96% of increase in Canadian population was foreigner adults. 4% births with half to first generation. So old classic Canadians account for 2% of population increase.
Since 2015 the Canadian economy grew. But. If you divide the growth by the increase population, no growth. The pie was bigger, but more people digging in.
(From memory and very sus), 1/3rd of Canadians not born in Canada. White( sorry ) Canadians are basically childless and elderly.
If tariffs are so bad, how did Germany, Japan, China, France, South Korea, India all enjoy such stable and thriving economies for decades? They apply some of the most heavy tariffs on earth?

The USA has 10X our population and 26X our economy.. We could fight like Ukraine for the next 4 years and end up worse off.. Do you really think the rest of the world wants to give Canada a sweet deal?.. Just to spite America when they have already rolled over for America..
Tariffs are as old as the hills and most of them don’t stay in place for long.. The big deal is Trump is using them to reset the trade imbalance.. That’s a progressive war crime because Trump must fail and get nothing 100% of the time.. We, as a nation.. Shouldn’t be caught up in that..
