The Libranos: Nice Riding You Have There

Be a shame if anything happened to it.

Chandra Arya, a Liberal backbench MP whose short-lived bid to replace Justin Trudeau as leader was cut short by the party, says he has been dropped as the candidate for the Ottawa riding of Nepean.

The 62-year-old has represented the riding since 2015.

National campaign director Andrew Bevan informed Arya of the decision in a letter Thursday, just days before an expected election call.

The move to remove him comes almost two months after the party also told Arya it would not accept him as a candidate for the party leadership.

Arya had already been nominated, but the letter says new information obtained by the party’s “green light committee” led the campaign co-chair to recommend that his “status as a candidate” be revoked.

Bevan does not include any details about the new information.

The only unfinished business is for our Chinese-installed Governor to smear Chandra Arya as a Chinese plant.

    1. Or not, the Indians in Nepean will vote for the Indian guy, so if another party has an Indian candidate, the carney probably won’t win.

You’d think a party that went to so much effort to exploit tribal politics would understand that.

        1. If the other Cons or NDP run an Indian, that person will be the next MP for that riding.

    2. Not the one he lives in, because that would require Carney to remove Mona Fortier as a candidate and offer her something better, like a senate seat, but there aren’t any available because Trudeau filled the senate just before his “resignation”.

  1. Ha, ha, ha. New information is that Mr. Carney needs a place to run. I think Arya should run as an independent, possibly putting a dent in Carney’s plans.

  2. China vs. India battle for canada continues!

Will the United States sit on the sidelines? Play referee? Or have something else in mind?

The little people that live in this place will be collateral damage, casualties of their own stupidity.

    1. The US is the wild card. If Trump aligned people have the Epstein files, really have the Epstein files than there may be a chance. There is no guarantee that they do. You know a sick f*ck like globalist Carney is up to his eyeballs in the corruption and perversion of that set, now that the writ has dropped and the Libranos can’t push pause, maybe Carney’s involvement leaks? That would be game changing.

  3. The British Raj strikes again!

PM Carney needs a spot in Parliament and takes it from the well respected Indo politician without input from the local constituency.

    History. Such repeating. Much ignorance.

Or did Arya do something that got him disqualified? Like gettin’ Modi with it.

  4. I feel like I am living through covid all over again. This has the feel of stage managed theater, with the outcome predetermined.

  5. The election is just an expensive coronation of WEF’s Carney. Canadians will vote for Carney because the media rants Orange Man bad and only the Liberal’s one party state can save Canada. Any Liberal Party MPs that don’t pay homage to Carney will be punished and have their seats taken away.

  6. For Liberals there’s always room under the bus. Something is rotten to the core here. Of course a totally incurious media doesn’t insist on pressing the party as to what exactly this “new information” would be.
2nd – Had I held that riding since 2015 I’d go down kicking and screaming before accepting a silver spooned, carpet bagger like Carnie to parachute in my riding thinking he’d get the easy one. Liberal party member or not…not happening. Mr.Arya folded a little too easy in my opinion.
Dollars to donuts money was exchanged.
Further – According to my Benjamin Moore colour wheel there seems to be a pattern of light browns with respect to who they’d like to drop out for Jesus. First Ruby Dhalla and now this guy. If Poilievre had done this the cries of racism would never stop.

  7. An election prophesy.
During the campaign you will not see.
    1 negative liberal story.
    1 positive conservative story.
I say this because during the last BC election that was exactly what happened.
Note: I consider Lib NDP as the same evil.

    1. Nepean Ont election recent election history, it’s a reach but…

I think kicking Chandra Aryr out of the leadership race, and then withdrawing his eligibility as the local candidate is directly linked to Marx Carney’s medium term plan here, to be elected locally. The idea that this isn’t connected wouldn’t pass any smell test.
and they still haven’t refunded Chandra or Ruby’s $350k leadership entrance fee.

  8. I live in the Nepean riding and just this week, Arya sent a Government funded MP newsletter out to all constituents. Free pre-election advertising as it were. So he was expecting to be the candidate.

But Arya has been promised some future lifetime post (like Immigration Refugee Board judge) if the Libs win. So he folded with little to no complaints.

    1. Obviously, knocking out an Indian Male is much better than taking out a white woman in the riding that you live in.

OF course, Carney could afford to buy a house in the riding if he was so inclined.

  9. The new information received by the party’s green light committee is that the new leader is going to take that seat.

  10. Mr. Selected not elected fires a beloved candidate and replaces him with himself, the stench of sewer water via the liberal party is gagging me. I hope he runs as an independent.

    1. Run as an independent?

He won’t. The deal contract would prohibit this.
Like a non-compete clause in a business sale.
Chandra may feign upset but he ain’t I promise you.

  11. The Liberal/Democrat mantra runs something along the line that, “to save democracy we have to destroy democracy”. Over the last decade or two in both Canada and America the mantra has settled in well with the socialist horde. From Ms. May proferring her opinion that contesting the riding of the leader of each party should be circumvented by mutual agreement, to bouncing a successful MP from his seat to parachute in a deadbeat is all pact and parcel of killing democracy. If the constituents of Napean are Canadians first and foremost then this deviation from Democracy should be well and truly snubbed and erased from our electoral process. Perhaps we should return to the time when a Prime Minister was selected after the election as the first order of business of the new parliament by those members of the House that held the most seats. After all we are a Constitutional Monarchy, not a Constitutional Republic, every Canadian unlike in America does not vote for the Prime Minister, therefore the leader of the country should be selected by the winning party after the election not before it. Do we have to enter another leadership convention if Carney fails to gain his selected seat, or does another ‘safe’ Liberal seat have to be vacated in order that Carney attain a second chance. At what point do we, the public, the consent to be governed, decide enough is enough and take back the power that our forebearers delivered into our hands instead of allowing these political usurpers to dictate their demands to us.

  12. I would laff if Carney wins the seat, loses big in the general, wastes two years of his life being a low-respect opposition leader, quits, and Freeheil takes over, by now a pianist equal in skills to Zelensky, and crazier than ever.
