Gain of function research was banned in the USA because it was dangerous. Fauci, Collins, NIH et al thought ‘we don’t give a stuff about the US government, we’ll offshore the research to somewhere else (China), give them a wodge of cash and carry on with the research. He can’t plead the fifth, as he’s been pardoned. Refuse to answer? Charge him with contempt.

Then have another country charge him with murder. Arrest Joe Biden and charge him with aiding Fauci.
His auto-penned pardon may be considered invalid.
The only way to find out if it is is to charge him and see what the courts say.
There’s nothing in the US Constitution that says a President has to actually sign a pardon.
I think it would be better to haul him in front of a Senate hearing. The process is the initial punishment.
Spend a couple of weeks getting his testimony under oath. He’s bound to perjure himself. Then charge him with perjury.
He values his reputation. A Senate hearing would destroy it.
The point is that the President may not have pardoned him, it may have been done without his knowledge by somebody else, in which case, no pardon happened.
Who cares about his reputation, the man needs to do some serious time.
