Would there be any orders in council at all?
Guy W. Giorno- Whatever this is, it is not an Order in Council. An OiC is made by the GG on advice of Cabinet, not an “I hereby instruct” directive signed by the Prime Minister.
Mike Campbell- Order in Council are signed by the Governor General under the advice of PM and cabinet. Note: Carbon tax law can only be appealed by Parliament – so it is still on the books – but terms can be changed – so PM Carney didn’t repeal the law but changed the rate to zero.

Had this discussion last night
Spent about 20 minutes trying to explain that all that happened was the rate was reduced to zero but they could put it right back where it was the day after the election
Elect Mark Carnage and surprise the cabin tax is back.
Remember “we have no plans to raise the carbon tax above $50/tonne?”
Carney is a net zero advocate.( read his airy fairy book Values)
Net zero has become the comfy code word for kill industry and leave oil in the ground.
And he loves taxes.
We are screwed.
PP’s first directive: by OiC prohibit “pleasure style” d!ld0s.
Headlines: Liberal @$$h0L3$ hardest hit.
Work his way down the list of every thing Libtards love until Liberal tears are our largest export.
It’s right and good and definitely not reasonable.
Hahahahahahaha
Newsflash: Liberals Lie About Everything
“This Liberal government has always been at war with East Carbon Tax!”
Parliament and law? Worthy of a fine museum…
Just like where they put our human rights…
Douche.. Seeing as near everything is a 200 mile drive from the US border.. Why would I invest in Canada again?..
Carnage, like Turdhole is dealing with the same reality.. America is not interested in your globalist plans..
Can the Governor in Council make changes to the law? it appears they can, under 166(4): “(4) The Governor in Council may, by regulation, amend Schedule 2 respecting the application of the fuel charge under this Part including by adding, deleting, varying or replacing a table.”
So there is nothing preventing said GiC from changing it the day of the election after polls close.
“So there is nothing preventing said GiC from changing it the day of the election after polls close.”
Guaranteed to happen within a day or two.
