If no one will pay for their wind energy, how will they pay for their yachts?
The United States is preparing to withdraw from the Just Energy Transition Partnership (JETP), a collaborative effort designed to assist developing nations in moving away from coal and adopting cleaner energy sources. As per the media reports, the decision, which comes after the initiative was first declared in 2021 at the United Nations climate talks in Glasgow, will see the USA end its support for energy transition programs in Vietnam, Indonesia, and South Africa.
According to multiple sources with knowledge of the matter, the USA is expected to pull back from its substantial financial commitments to these countries. In total, USA pledges for Indonesia and Vietnam exceed USD 3 billion, while its commitment for South Africa stands at USD 1.063 billion as part of a larger USD 11.6 billion package. These funds were intended to help these nations reduce their reliance on coal and invest in renewable energy infrastructure.

No worries. Marx Carney will pick up the slack.
“The United States plans to exit the global initiative aimed at helping developing countries transition from coal, ending financial commitments in Vietnam, Indonesia, and South Africa.”
If it’s a global initiative then why is the US funding it?
Read and weep over the JETP.

“For example, of the money allocated for electricity infrastructure, almost none is allocated to actually building electricity infrastructure, whether that be new renewable generation capacity or expanded grid infrastructure, both of which are urgently needed in South Africa. Rather, it is spent on a mix of technical assistance, project feasibility studies, scenario projections and capacity building. In total, about R1.2-billion of the grant financing is spent on technical assistance which has long been criticised as a form of aid for being ineffective, extremely expensive since much of these funds go to foreign “experts”, and an outdated form of development.”
Doubtless the virtue signaling net zero countries will jump at the chance to continue funding the JETP.
More WINNING for American taxpayers!
Jimmy Dore has doubts. And coming from the left side of the political spectrum that’s saying a lot.
“Especially since I found out how easily medical journals and doctors can be corrupted by Big Pharma. None of the climate predictions have come true, and all of the prominent people making them are still flying around in private jets.”
That’s right Jimmy.

As you can see, it’s Billions of dollars down the tube to promote leftist agenda talking points. But, what’s amazing is the locales these people use for their conventions and “talks.” It seems it’s almost always some picturesque tourist area. I wonder why. 😀 And, keep in mind I just listed a handful. They list well over 700 of past events on their website.
Indonesia is an Islamist shithole.
South Africa is a Tribal shithole.
Viet Nam is a communist shithole.
There are thousands of communities IN the US – outside of Washington – that government money could be spent on helping Americans.
Even if grifters were taking a share, you’d still be keeping it in the country.
If I were American, I’d rather have it in my pocket, but if the Feds have got to steal it, at least help my neighbor, not some foreigner who hates me.
And here I thought the REASON communist China is “allowed” to build 3 new coal plants every week is because they were OWED the ability to “catch up” with the Industrial Revolution that passed over China in the late 1800’s. So … the ChiComs can pollute the shit out of the planet … but every other developing nation must go “green”?
Ohhhhhh … that’s right … John F. Kerry met with ChiCom officials and certified their “commitment” to stop using fossil fuels sometime in the future. They promise. So John F. Kerry “certified” the ChiComs cooperation with the global warming charade. The global warming kabuki theatre.
The insanity of FAKE CAGW needs to be counterrevolutioned out of existence
Nothing is more racist than the Green movement, specifically the climate change freaks. They’d rather the poor POC’s stay poor than let them develop their countries using real energy
The Mag 7 have shed around two trillion dollars in market cap today so anyone still clinging to any stock in “renewables” are likely distracted but it’s long past time to dump them.
The US stock market really CRATERING today. My analysis? That goes to show just how much $$$$$ corporations make from all the wasteful, bullshit, Federal spending. DOGE is ending the corporate gravy train. And the market doesn’t like that.
IMHO … this has very little to do with tariffs.
It’s driven by sentiment and it was predicted before Trump was elected. Another day like today and we are entering a long term Bear market. If it bounces and continues with new highs, then today is a preview of what will inevitably follow. The only question will be will it be called a R or a D and I don’t mean political Parties.
Let me say that I have done EXACTLY what Warren Buffet has done. I’ve parked all my equities and am just waiting for the inevitable recession coming our way. Just waiting for the best buying opportunity in many years.
The recession is inevitable … not because tariff … but because DOGE is trimming the fat and the consumer is totally tapped out, their credit cards are loaded, inflation is STILL squeezing every last dollar out of the consumers pockets. The American consumer weathered the dreary Biden years on their credit cards … and that is effectively OVER. Prices are going to naturally drop. Profits are going to naturally drop.
Batten down the hatches.
It’s gonna be “BIBLICAL!”
I’m sure Carnage, the bug eating wonder, will borrow another trillion, we don’t have. To give the developing world green energy, they don’t need. Think of it as autopen.
