Even without the US. It costs at least 7-10% of GDP annually in initial years and then at least 5% of GDP. When the hell are we starting?” Is Europe serious about doing this?     Feb 2025 Zelensky refuses to negotiate, not a ceasefire,
    but a Rare Earth Minerals deal with the US,
    citing “distrust of Putin’s ceasefires”.

    That’s irrelevant and doesn’t make sense. It’s a valid complaint,
    (which hasn’t discouraged him previously),
    but Zelensky has shown to be willing to negotiate with Putin and,
    now Zelensky has shown he’s unwilling to negotiate with Trump,
    on anything.

    As with all on the Left,
    Trump is seen as the larger threat.

            People keep forgetting (thanks to the MSM burying the story) that the actual negotiations were *already over*, and that the only reason Zelensky was even in the USA was that HE (not the Americans) wanted a public signing ceremony.

            They also have been trying to hide the bit about themeeting with prominent Democrats right beforehand…gee, I wonder what they wanted to talk about?

        1. It depends entirely on the details of the peace agreement. Peace at any price is a no-go.

          And it would be a nice touch if Zelensky was at the negotiation table. Ukraine is not a pie for Russia and the U.S. to divide up amongst themselves.

        2. You might want to look into the history a bit deeper than the headlines. Look into the Maidan coup in February 2014 under which the US CIA/State Dept essentially owned Ukraine via proxy, and the CIA began using Ukraine as a giant offshore playground for criminal racketeering and money laundering. Ukraine became one giant CIA base, directly on Russia’s border. (That’s why Biden took such an “interest” in Ukraine….is it becoming clear to you yet, bozo?) You may want to look up the audio or the transcript of the leaked phone call between State Dept diplomats and Deep State agents, Victoria Nuland and Geoffrey Pyatt.

    Chamberlains comment regarding the 1938 signing of the Munich Agreement. UK, Germany, Italy, and France went behind Czechoslovakias back and agreed to territorial concessions to Nazi Germany in exchange for peace.

        Congress has appropriated, or otherwise made available for OAR (Operation Atlantic Resolve) and the Ukraine response, some $182.8 billion consisting of four broad categories
        “1) funds that have been appropriated and remain available for obligation, but have not yet been obligated, amounting to $39.6 billion;
        2) funds that have been obligated but have not yet been disbursed, amounting to $57.0 billion;
        3) funds that have been disbursed, amounting to $83.4 billion;
        4) funds that have expired, meaning they are no longer available for obligation, amounting to $2.7 billion.”

        According to Congress, $83.4 billion has been disbursed, not $350 billion. Since Trump says the US has sent (note the past tense “sent”) $350 billion to Ukraine, shouldn’t the “most transparent government in history” provide more information?

        Zelensky said Ukraine has received approx $75 billion from the US. That roughly matches the $83 billion Congress says has been disbursed.

            USAID most certainly happened. In fact, it’s specifically mentioned in the link I provided above. Funds appropriated for USAID Ukraine support were $39.9 billion.

            If you have info that USAID provided more than this for Ukraine, please provide it.

            CNN pollster Harry Enten reports today that Trump’s net approval on Russia/Ukraine is +2 (vs Biden’s -22), that the share of Americans who want a compromise in the war is way up (from 31% to 50%) and that the number of people who consider Russia to be an enemy is way down (from 64% to 34%).

            Zelensky blew it. Badly.

    5. One would think that the last three years would have proven that fear to be a bit false. However, if the morons of the EU/Commonwealth keep up with their chest thumping, put boots on the ground, planes in the sky…well, Ivan has a fairly large nuclear arsenal and they just might decide to use it. Now, I should think they’d only go with tactical, but you never know, things could get out of hand.

  8. These clowns are hilarious. The Euroweenies are broke and getting broker by the day. The loss of USAID money is going to have far reaching effects and add to their unemployment woes. Their green policies have done a number on their economies and while they can throw their currency at Ukraine they’re options are limited for turning that currency into enough usable materials to pick up the slack. Are they going to pony up and foot the bill for operating Ukraine’s civil service as well ?

    GDP is a misleading stat because it includes all the gov’t welfare spending which is mostly nonproductive. You can have a trillion dollar economy but if all it produces is regulations and welfare you’re going to be poor. This is the state they currently find themselves in and picking up the tab for Ukraine is only going to make their domestic problems worse.

Didn’t the SAS state they would strike and refuse to fight? This is a global war where the elites want the peasants to fight a war they are making massive amounts of money on. The U.S. wins again, because all those European NATO members have signed contracts guaranteeing they purchase military equipment ONLY from the list of current NATO arms suppliers, most of which are American. The U.S. won’t donate any more free defense to Europe but they’ll be happy to SELL it to them.

  18. At least Chamberlain was smart enough to realize that England was in no shape to fight a resurgent Germany. So he signed the paper, made the infamous “peace in our time” comment, and returned to England determined to seriously increase their military capability. He was helped by the brilliance of some engineers – think the Spitfires – but the result of his delaying the war was that England had at least some capability for defense. But it was a close-run thing.
