    1. Japan, South Korea, and Taiwan should each have a small number of nuclear weapons. Being able to destroy several of a potential enemy’s largest cities goes a long way in preventing potential enemies becoming actual enemies.

      Ukraine should have kept those old Soviet nuclear weapons. Nuclear powers do not launch full scale invasions on each other.

  3. With so many videos of children being brats winning awards and accolades, it’s not surprising that so many idiots are impressed by Zelensky acting as a petulant toddler. Trump and Vance were the adults in the room. Zelensky was the spoiled brat throwing the tantrum.

    1. You know, with most of the last of the Germans who remember the last time they picked a fight with Russia gone to whatever awaits them in the other world, Chancellor-presumptive Merz might just be daft enough to try it.

      Experience keeps a dear school. With few exceptions (Jews and possibly Russians), nations seem to learn in no other, and that only for a generation or two. All that’s changed under industrial capitalism is that the price Experience charges goes up every time, reflecting the progress made in designing weapons capable of killing people on an industrial scale who get in the way of what some petty warmonger fancying himself leader of a great nation thinks he wants.

      There will be a Russia, and a United States, when this is over. There will not be an “Ukrainian” state, and probably not a German state either.

      Zelensky is Putin’s bitch now? Because HE demanded the White House photo op, when the agreement could easily have been signed in Ukraine, Saudi Arabia or anywhere else that did not require Zelensky to fly half way around the world to do so.

The moron Vance must be deaf on top of stupid because if you listen to the tape Zelensky had already thanked them at least 2 times. It was a deliberate pile on. America’s allies are looking for options because an ally who cuts and runs is worth nothing. All the Americans do is cut and run.

  7. The world watched in amazement yesterday when Zelensky tried to out alpha Trump and Vance in the Oval office. Trump gave Zelensky the ultimate lesson in negotiations 101.
    Never become so wedded to the idea of the deal that you are not afraid to walk away from it. Trump just walked away.
    Zelensky has nothing and is in panic mode. America will no longer provide unlimited funds or arms. And never, ever any troops. The EU and NATO will give Ukraine all the moral support they can muster and everything else except money, arms and troops.
    The war will be settled with Russia keeping the Donbas and the warm water port for their navy. Ukraine that remains will join neither NATO or the EU.
    Trudeau, Carney, the liberal party, CBC and bureaucracy will likely learn nothing from this lesson and thus get the same result as Zelensky.
    May God have mercy on Canada.
