The Hill- Musk says federal worker email meant to spot ‘outright fraud’
“The reason this matters is that a significant number of people who are supposed to be working for the government are doing so little work that they are not checking their email at all!”
“In some cases, we believe non-existent people or the identities of dead people are being used to collect paychecks,” Musk continued. “In other words, there is outright fraud.”

“‘It is cruel and disrespectful to hundreds of thousands of veterans who are wearing their second uniform in the civil service to be forced to justify their job duties to this out-of-touch, privileged, unelected billionaire,’ Kelley said.”
My fine feathered friend, forget the billionaire. With very few exceptions, an adult who can’t explain to an eight-year-old what he did at work that day and what blessed good it did a living soul is a parasite.
Such a person needs removing from the payroll forthwith, and the firm should demand to be re-imbursed for compensation of the parasite for no meaningful work done in return—and sue him if he cannot or will not do so.
I dare say many such people will be forced to sell their homes to repay their debts to taxpayers. That will go a long way towards making housing affordable for people who work for a living and actually pay taxes.
The Oakland, CA school district went BROKE in 2003 … $100M in Debt. As a result, the State took control of the school district. The FIRST thing they did was to force EVERY “employee” receiving a paycheck to come pick up their paycheck in person at the district offices, and to bring identification. No direct deposits. Yes … hundreds of “employees” never showed up. Yes, hundreds of “employees” were stricken from the record. I suggest Musk make EVERY Federal Employee collect their next years paychecks in person … with photo ID.
We are being LOOTED … at EVERY level of government by thieves far worse than any Walgreens smash and grab.
BTW … my wife collected her paper (ewwwwww) paycheck in person, and it wasn’t any terrible inconvenience. You KNOW who were inconvenienced?
Insurance companies typically, I believe, attempt to annually verify whether annuitants are ‘living’. That might be a good idea for Social Security. I don’t know if any of that is done for CPP and OAS.
The mafia elders cry!
What about the “bible pounders” GYM? You forgot to blame the “bible pounders.”
fc
The bible pounders are suing Trump to continue the illegal alien $$$$$$ grift, you know those RCC A$$holes.
Not this bible pounder, Go President Trump, and I’m not even American……
GYM … church attendance where there are LGBTQueers, and just plain old Communist Ministers in the pulpit are looking at EMPTY collection plates. They NEED the government grift to stay afloat. It’s economic survival … for the Rats and Weirdos.
Sorry … but Christ promised eternal damnation for two groups … 1) child molesters and 2) blasphemists who pervert His Gospel.
Thare ya go…
That’s the GYM we all know and love.
For the record, and know that I do not support their legal action, but to clarify, the USCCB is suing the feds for cancelling a contract that has long been in place. The church has been doing this work, and is suing for non-payment of work that has already been done.
The contract is for aiding the integration of LEGAL immigrants (refugees). The contract was cancelled, because the Trump admin found out that the USCCB was using that contract to integrate migrants, legal and illegal.
The USCCB and the Church has been doing this work, aiding the LEGAL immigration process for years, long before Pope Francis took over the papacy, and long before Biden stole the 2020 election.

Just thought a clarification was needed.
So cruel! Such a burden! My wife does more than that running a volunteer senior coffee klatch for ten people.
A very sensible, good move.
There are likely many hard-working public servants, but also some shirkers and fraudsters collecting cheques, plus a few spies.
The president of the union who is complaining about this worked for the government for 30 years from 1981 to 2011. I wonder how much money he’s getting from the government to run the union.
JD
Maybe ask BIGBALLZ, he may have the answer.
So depressing to see the light shine on American government corruption, while we continue to witness the kleptocracy continue to function here in Canuckistan as if it was all a normal part of the daily routine, while the Canuckistanians continue to sleep as they are oblivious to the fact that the government continues to steal their wealth, but they don’t seem to care?
I am blessed to be born in this country, but the country that I grew up to know and love has been completely erased by the last 9 years of the most corrupt federal government I have ever seen in my life, replaced by something that I would expect to see in the former eastern block communist states.
It’s also extremely distasteful watching those Heritage moments sponsored by that very same corrupt government proclaiming how “free” Canuckistan really is — even after the events over the last 5 years, especially when this corrupt government ILLEGALLY implement the EA to clamp down on any dissent from a LEGAL protest, and watching how the protesters who LEGALLY participated in that protest have been persecuted with lawfare the likes I have never thought I would see in this country.
WE NEED A DOGE HERE IN CANUCKISTAN. Without it, I will never again be “proud” of this country that I once loved.
And of course the union president is upset, because fewer government employees leads to fewer union dues paid. It’s all about keeping the union solvent enough for his gift on the union to continue.
Did you mean Grift?
The old expression is “dead horses on the payroll.”
Make the employees trot themselves into their offices to collect their next paycheck.
I’m the stay at home janitor, I wonder how long till they catch on?
We need this in canaduh, for all of the government “workers” who frigged off to their cottages when Covid began and haven’t returned to work since.
