    3. Alberta could easily be a country on its won. The population is similar to that of Norway, Finland and Denmark and the GDP per capita of Alberta is considerably higher than that of Finland and Denmark and at par with that of Norway. And if you were to add in Saskatchewan and a large part of B.C., it would be a pretty powerful little nation on its own….especially because it wouldn’t be dragged down by the millstone called Ottawa.

    Instead we waste our time working at fixing Canada.

      1. Thanks. One of the things I learned from the Freedom Protest is that there are Canadians from across the country who value Canada and want greater freedom for all its citizens.

      Stacked Supreme court
      Guaranteed overrepresentation @25% of seats pour la belle provence
      No balance by region in a 2d chamber
      No property rights
      etc, etc.

    2. Hmm, lets review. 1) Hollywood has-beens could become Canadians without the trouble of moving. 2) The Left Coast would enjoy climate change regulations beyond Sacramento’s dreams. 3) Another plus is Canada gets a new PM candidate in Newsom with Pelosi, Kamala and Schiff thrown in.
      It’s something to think about.

      So true. Our little city’s rags (one is Post Media) will sometimes have Theo’s cartoons. He’s not very clever and he certainly isn’t funny. For weeks now, our little weeklies are all TDS. I don’t even read them anymore; straight into the blue box.

    Trump should rescind his offer to Canada and offer it only to Alberta and Saskatchewan. The rest of Canada would crumble shortly. They could join as a territory of the USA without state rights of course. This keeps USA conservative and rich and mutes the power of the communist territory of Canada. To sweeten the pot he could offer everyone that votes to separate $20,000. This would entice a lot of the parasites to vote to separate as well.

    Maybe he’s waiting for Carney to win the election to capitalize on western anger if it happens.

  13. Canadians perhaps aren’t aware of it, but the province of Ontario is inundating US television with commercials singing the praises of their relationship with the US.

    I would appreciate hearing from you, on the significance of this, as I don’t understand the motivation.

    1. Follow the money. Somebody’s brother /cousin/nephew is a film maker. If DOGE is any indication, it cost 100 million to make and 90 is missing.
      Actually it’s very well done but I don’t know what it’s supposed to accomplish (other than the money). The election was in November and Trump won.

    1. A better concept would be Alberta as a stand alone country…..of course adding Saskatchewan and a large part of B.C. would make it even stronger.

  23. Can anyone make the case for Canada?
    I assume there exist good arguments for the continued existence of Confederated Canada.

    I have difficulty imagining even one..which I ascribe to limited imagination on my part.
    My conclusion is Western Separation is unavoidable and that we should be planning for it .

    But no one else has posted such an argument,at least not in the forums I frequent.
    So did I miss it?
    Is there a solid argument for continuing “Confederation”?

    All I see are years of lies.
    Complete lack of common values.
    No common sense.
    And actions accepted that have destroyed the promise this nation once held.

    Voters so ignorant that they repeatedly reward lying thieves,with re election.
    Voters who love to steal from the productive to reward the lazy and useless.
    We did try Reform.
    And the results were entirely predictable.

    Kleptocracy cannot be reformed by civil actions.
    So??
