The (checks notes) “independent” media.
The Woodbridge Company- Woodbridge is the principal and controlling shareholder (67.8%) of Thomson Reuters, a multinational media conglomerate.[3] Thomson Reuters was formed in 2008, when the Thomson Corporation acquired Reuters.[4]
In late 2010, Woodbridge sold its 40% interest in CTVglobemedia (a Canadian media company with ownership of the CTV Television Network) to BCE Inc. Woodbridge held an 85% interest in The Globe and Mail newspaper before acquiring the remaining 15% owned by BCE in August 2015.[5]
Remember your HS conjugation?
Reuters, Rooters, Rotters, Rioters.
Perhaps they thought they were given the money to practice widespread social deception.
And TDS infected Andrew Coyne works for….
The Globe and Mail, part of the Thompson Reuters group, and receiving a few million $ in tax credits from the #Libranos gov’t of Canada.
His anti Trump fervor seems well rooted under that money tree.
via various subsidiaries and intermediaries to hide how they were getting it. … just curious … isn’t this a CRIME? Deliberate deception of the American taxpayers?

“We are being looted by every nefarious entity on the planet.”
Well you could complain to your Congressman or woman.
Oh, how silly of me, they’re the ones doling out the money!
And getting kickbacks in return.
Andrew Coyne et al seem to be uninterested in this development regarding their owners/bosses.
Over at the National Post, there are always the usual suspects blathering on about how the Post is owned by an American hedge fund.
All this money and they are completely unoriginal in their messaging, parotting the same talking points to the letter on both sides of the border. “Emolument” “Not exonerated” “”Russian collusion” “Hush money” etc etc. I always wonder how the polling outfits are affected. Some say they are not there to measure public opinion, but to manipulate it.
As the old saying goes, the reason they call ’em polls is that they serve the same purpose as the poles that shepherds use to herd sheep.
See how deep the rabbit hole goes:
