People think 🇨🇦 is lax on money laundering because it’s good for the economy. Nope.
It’s so much worse. The lax enforcement turned into organized crime capturing 🇨🇦. The legal system is now too scared to act. Seriously.

and Musk is discovering the same crap in the US – we are no better than you guys up North.
Our crazy Marxist Judges are blocking efforts by DOGE to stop the fraud. The judges are be definition in favor of fraud as are The Democrats as are the Liberals, the NDP and all of Ottawa and Washington DC bureaucracies.
At this point in the timeline we are better — our people have voted to dismantle this, and the corrupt in our government were not able to stop the will of the people. It was, and is, and will be, a very closely run thing with no guarantees. At least the step has been taken.
This is the choice that is now appearing on the horizon for Canada; what they choose will determine their future; what their leaders choose will determine that future as well. We’ll see what happens. It really would be beneficial for Canadians to decide to “be better”, regain their sovereignty (and not a false sense of it; this is an important qualification), but that is up to them.
Interesting that this should be happening now (and mark the wording)?

Whether it is Organized Crime that Canada ignores or $Trillions in graft and corruption that Wash DC has ignored for decades, the result is the same. Your new PM, has his work cut out for him.
That is, if we get someone other than Crooked Carney or some other Lieberal as PM.
Canada is such a perfect nation for this. A nation of infantile, coward sheep, smugly thinking the dog is there when he is splitting the take with the wolf, is paradise for wolves.
Liberals are OK with corruption as long as they are benefiting from it.
So are many Conservatives. The Uniparty is very real. The only advantage to the Conservatives is that at least some of them are not totally captured, but the people do need to hold them accountable and not blindly follow.
In the ’90s Colombian currency was losing on average 25% per year to inflation. This was due to all the “hot money” that was pouring in from drug trafficking. I remember seeing term deposit rates as high as 60% posted on the walls in Colombian banks.
NOT a good situation.
Very good point.
So… what do we do about it?
Nothing, like the deck we have was rotten beams and plywood, we had to rip almost the whole thing down and replace it with new lumber.
The rot in government is too deep, and in,Ed’s we get a mental mindset for the need of truth, justice and all those others fuzzy words, we are done.
Separation isn’t an answer sadly as the leftist mindset has poisoned Edmonton and Calgary to an extent.
I’d say keep your head down and ride out the disaster that is upon us.
Apparently, the drug business is a lucrative one. It is a moral and ethical issue. Address the demand and/or address the supply. There’s lots of talk about dealing with the supply, but not enough about dealing with the demand. How do we motivate addicts to quit wanting drugs?
Now think about this. UnReal is IN FAVOR of the drug trade.
They’re all alike!
Concealed Carry in Canada: imagine living in such fear that one never acquires the intestinal fortitude to merely be prepared, to protect ones family, because to be prepared is to break federal-criminal law: in hindsight the tragic choice would be obvious… Now imagine one who has that foresight, combined with the ability and the will to act suddenly, when faced with that awesome responsibility, to accept all the social and societal consequences in exchange for another embrace with loved ones. We all know how the government would respond, but we also know how the loved ones and the court of public opinion would respond.
Plato o plomo…
That’s a pretty grim read, especially the missing persons stats.
