      1. Canada doesn’t have 10K combat troops to send to the border. And the leadership of the Canadian Forces is usually very reluctant to provide troops to do what another department is tasked to do.

  1. imagine that. a job handing out money to people you never meet or question with money you never worked for. amazing

    1. Here’s the reason why Elon Musk and others have been taking a look,” Leavitt said while holding up a sheet of paper. “If you look at the waste and abuse that has run through USAID over the past several years, these are some of the insane priorities this organization has been wasting money on.”
      • “$1.5M to advance DEI in Serbia’s workplaces.”
•“$70k for a production of a DEI musical in Ireland.”
      • “$47k for a transgender opera in Colombia.”
      • “$32k for a transgender comic book in Peru.”
Is anyone else wondering about USAID grants going to Canadian NGOs to aid in resetting the 3rd world in Canada? Maybe other English speaking nations?

      1. I wonder how much The Turd’s clown car government has given away to similar looney leftist causes around the world.

  2. May God continue to bless President Trump and this great representative Republic with its inherent checks and balances. I only hope that the mentally retarded lazy parasitic commie nations like Canada and the UK will take note and reform their systems of government. We want you to join in for the big win. This is indeed a great day in America!

  3. If he keeps chopping of the sucker branches off the federal gov’t, and imposing tariffs, he will actually be able to get rid of the IRS and federal income tax.
Before federal income tax was introduced, the feds ran on excise taxes and duties.

  4. When Ron Paul spoke along those lines; as in close the doors, send everyone home at the DOE, people needed Depends in every washroom.

      1. I was indeed one to say wait and see. We didn’t have too long to wait, he is onside with trying to go head to head with the US on tariffs. That is a potential disaster in spades. CA has a much bigger economy than Canada, one state with a bigger or same population. Our politicians are fools as are we for allowing them to do the moronic things they seem to get away with.

        1. There has been a few tells on the way with Poilievre

Jumping up like a trained seal to criticize Christine Anderson was a big one.

          1. “There has been a few tells on the way with Poilievre

            One of several.

    1. PP wouldn’t do jack all like that if he got in. Which he won’t. Carney with a majority, followed by major cozying up to the Big Red Panda. Stamp it.

Are Canadians collectively that stupid, though? To fall for the very same thing yet again?

        1. Yes. The LPC will leverage the rampant anti-American inferiority complex that infects 90% of Canadians and turn it into another majority.

    2. PP is a WEF acolyte and he’s smart. He’ll impose the policies Trudeau wanted to implement immediately slowly over the course of his tenure. If he does it right, he’ll probably get a second term and we’ll all be thinking everything is hunky-dory–while our rights and our kids’ futures disappear in unending debt and ever-increasing taxes.

  5. Musk money quote was:
As we dug into USAID it became apparent that what we have here is not an apple with a worm in it, but we have actually just a ball of worms. If you have an apple with a worm in it, you can take the worm out. If you have a whole ball of worms, it’s hopeless. USAID is a ball of worms. There is no apple. And when there is no apple you just need to get rid of the whole thing. That’s why it’s got to go. It’s beyond repair.

  6. C’mon folks. Since when can a US private citizen with no standing whatsoever in government bring down a government institution?

Or, when can a US president do it without first going through Congress/Senate?

    Not happening.

      1. I’ll take your bet.

The American Constitution is bigger than DJT. He’s already ran into judges who immediately called him on things like birthright.

Some moderate Republicans in the House and Senate are going to say No at some point soon.

American presidents don’t make law or rule by decree. That is the job of Congress.

        1. Regardless of future judges’ decisions, the light switch has been turned on and that toothpaste isn’t going back in the tube, if I’m allowed to mix metaphors.

        2. But they do issue executive orders.

Also, both Biden and Obama often just ignored court rulings against their EOs.

          Trump can do the same.

        3. Barry O and Creepy Joe governed by decree and nobody, no moderate on either side of the aisle stopped anything.
Re judges: low tier political appointmentees few of which understand or have actually read the constitution let alone SCOTUS decisions

        4. Twisting the words of the constitution has been going on since the document was first penned.
I don’t remember which president said it but it was to the effect, you made a ruling now how will you enforce it.

  7. Moderate Republicans? You mean uniparty swampers. They can read a room, DOJ, FBI, USAID (read CIA), OPM, and the public says more please. Watch Susan Collins start barking like a trained seal, and you’ll see what moderate Republicans do when they get their finger in the wind.

All that has to happen is oversight schedule a hearing on USAID, and John Ratcliffe will come with receipts. The swamp can’t handle their dirty laundry hung on the line, because the DOJ will get involved. Opposition to that will melt.

  8. Trump’s powers are at their peak right now and he is certainly holding sway.

What I’m saying is he is way out over his skiis. Ruling by executive order is not how America works. It’s not even contemplated in the Constitution and he will get reined in.

Moderate Republicans got elected the same way all Republicans did. By the people. They have legitimacy. Some of them care deeply about the country and the Constitution.

I’m not suggesting this will happen tomorrow but I don’t think Constitution is now meaningless.

    1. The constitution was meaningless under most Democrat regimes.

Many officials, in law enforcement agencies, the military, court justices, politicians, etc. swear allegiance to the constitution and then crap all over it.

    2. “I’m not suggesting this will happen tomorrow but I don’t think Constitution is now meaningless.”

Not the American Constitution, no. The Canadian one? Absolutely meaningless…and by design.

  9. How in the fkcuing hell can USAID claim they are an “independent agency” of the US government and can HIDE all their operations!? Ohhhhh yeahhhhh … it’s the old “National Security” ploy … nobody “needs to know” what they are up to. Nobody CAN know what they’re up to.

Sorry … The PEOPLE just elected The PEOPLE’s President. That bullshit is getting CANCELED … and quick

  10. I never suggested USAID shouldn’t be deep sixed. My objection is how it was done. The President imo is out of bounds here. It’s not within the scope of power of the President.

In a democracy that respects the rule of law leaders are held in check. It’s what seperates us from…them.

The price of freedom is vigilance.
