Where’s Jim?

Blacklock’s- Convict Can’t Keep Gov’t Job

The employee, a Parks Canada clerk in Gatineau, Que., in 2023 was sentenced to five years in federal prison on sexual assault charges. Managers only noticed his absence three months after the sentencing. The delay was unexplained.

“When Parks Canada found out, it suspended him briefly while it obtained more information and then terminated his employment,” wrote Adjudicator Rootham. The clerk’s complaint of unjust firing was dismissed under the Criminal Code.

  1. yet another dreary example of how we have way too many government employees. Maybe under PP we will see this nonsense rooted out, but again, maybe not.. he’s no Javier Millei thats for sure

  2. You’re not a manger if your worker has been missing for 3 months.
You’re useless and should be fired as well.
I don’t know what’s more pathetic: corruption or incompetence.

    1. Manager never saw him at Costco for three months. “Something had to be going on”, thought he.

  3. This story would have been way funnier if he had recieved a lighter sentence, served it, and then returned to work without anyone ever having noticed.
