Wise Words

Some serious self-reflection is in order, according to Jordan Peterson, before Canada embarks, panic-stricken, on the path to economic and cultural suicide. I hope enough people are listening.

Such behaviour is, sadly, a Canadian norm, particularly wherever the country is left-leaning; particularly wherever everyone believes axiomatically that we have all the virtues of our democratic compatriots to the south, and then some; particularly wherever everyone is inclined to point self-righteously to the wonders of our now-dreadful and even oft-murderous “free” health-care system and its associated highly dysfunctional, expensive and increasingly unsustainable social safety net…

That combined attitude of essentially socialist sentiment and moral superiority was exemplified above all, perhaps, by former Prime Minister Trudeau — … [the père] who dallied so self-aggrandizingly with the Chinese Reds and the dictatorial communist Fidel Castro and rubbed the Americans’ noses in it, moralizing intellectually and oh-so-fashionably all the while.

Yup. What he’s talking about is cowardice. And it doesn’t matter if it’s Conservative, Liberal, or NDP. It all boils down to yellowness.

    1. Shrug. 90 percent of Conservative voters won’t accept it because their Party leaders are too cowardly to say it.

  2. So Turdeau (and Ford his cuck) continue with a pure theatre – high stakes game of bullshit poker against their orange haired satan. This reckless game with Canada’s survival boils down to three doors of options.

Door 1. Canada becomes a globalist, carbon free, post national WEF ruled vassal state.

Door 2. Canada or individual provinces negotiate for American annexation.

Door 3. Canadians grow a pair and rebuild Canada as a post monarchy – constitutional confederation

HRH Charles III is a WEF stooge – the UK & the monarchy are toast & soon they’ll be overrun by jihadists. If we don’t cut the cord they will become our sovereign rulers

      1. I like it. Difficult as it may be, need the First Nations to get on board and finally get out of this sinking ship called Canada. No easy task. But our collective survival depends on it.

        1. National, Provincial, and State borders are NOT some sacrosanct unchangeable political demarcations. And when the conditions under which they were created become passé … even mocked by the distant elites … conditions are ripe for their revision. It’s the opportune time to isolate the multiculturalist, post-National, anti-civilization Eastern and Western overlords in their own dystopian constructed prisons. No one in their right minds in Alberta or Saskatchewan would keep walking single file into their ovens of doom.

This American, for one, welcomes the new States of Alberta and Saskatchewan… or … the new nation of Saskbertachewan. This American has no interest whatsoever in absorbing the Laurentian region of fools nor Hongcouver. None. Those regions are unsuitable for absorption into America.

    1. It’s door #1, we’re already half way through. Justine will use gleefully use this as an opportunity to usher in CBDC and UBI. Meathead will back it all the way, having been promised the title of curry commissar for life.

  3. That whole article was well worth the time to read…but that goes for just about everything Dr. Peterson writes.

Oh and I looked it up so you don’t have to: 😉
“Axiomatically” is an adverb that means something is so obviously true that it doesn’t need to be proven.

  4. Talking to my neighbours today. They both retired in their mid 50’s, him from the public utility, her from a nearby University, both with full pensions etc. They bought a full size GM pick up and a rather large camper a few years ago and travelled in Canada in the summer, and always went south in the winter. I asked them why they were sticking around this winter – because Trump won, they don’t want to spend money in the US. So they’ll leave their camper parked and pay the fees rather than use it.

    1. Of course they’re liberal/dippers they both have publicly funded, gold plated pensions. Orange man bad is evil to them and Justine and Jugmeat are their saviours.

  5. How did someone describe Canadians, oh yes, i believe it went something like this:

“Of course – OF COUrSE – vitally 100% of Canadians know that there are only two genders but many, perhaps a majority are frightened to say so because they are supine moral cowards – a national ladies book club/sewing circle of pusillanimous, Overton window-compliant, permission-seeking, rule-following, social ostracism-fearing, neighbour-tattling, small-souled milksops, fraidy-cats and other assorted namby-pambies. My God, people are such f@cking sheep!!

      1. Sorry, it was one of the snippets of wisdom I come across online, I copy the text to my notepad, it’s like thought to text, but someone else is typing what i’m thinking, lol!

Either a poster from SDA or BCF, most likely, so if the author is reading this, stand and be counted!

    1. I really hate to see my Canadian friends voluntarily marching into the ovens of a multi-culti, post-national, post-Western civ., post-energy, post rational gulag. Don’t any of you notice the smoke and fumes in your immediate futures? Do you really want to ride your dollar down the tubes to some Zimbabwean punchline?

Please grow a pair Canadians! You can have a Trumpian counter Revolution too!!

      1. We can’t, man. We can’t. I appreciate your faith in us, I do, but the majority of Canadians want this. They voted for it and they’ll vote for it again as long as it isn’t Trudeau Jr. as the face of it. And the Canadian political system doesn’t allow for what’s happened in the US.

We’re a colder Venezuela and we’re going to keep voting for whatever strongman promises the most free shit until we’re eating rats and pigeons.

    1. OMG! That’s maybe funny in the 80’s or 90’s … but now it is just downright creepy. It’s almost a template for today’s “Trans”-insanity

  6. 9 years rocking on our collective nutz letting the house fall down. Is not polite to talk with your mouth full Gagmeat.

    what a zoo has happened.

      1. Indeed. I think she is leaving. Probably got something good at the WHO or one of the pharmas. Too bad she missed the Liberal leadership spot.

    1. Are the measles being imported by all the pajits, arabs, and African “migrants”?? Are they tracking the socio/ethno/generational stats on these cases of measles on the rise?

  7. Poilievre is talking retaliation just like Ford and the Turd.
The only guy who is talking about appeasing Trump by actually fortifying our border is Max.
Of course, Canadian conservatives won’t vote for Max, because reasons, soo….
    BOHICA.

    1. I am disappointed with PP’s dollar-for-dollar join up.
And terrified that Jamie MacMaster will be right.
BUT were he to talk otherwise would not his chances of becoming PM go up in smoke?
And wouldn’t his leadership be infinitely better than Carney’s; and isn’t the regime planning on portraying PP as Trump in a country with a pathological case of TDS.

      1. “I am disappointed with PP’s dollar-for-dollar join up.
And terrified that Jamie MacMaster will be right.
BUT were he to talk otherwise would not his chances of becoming PM go up in smoke?”

Jamie is correct to call it cowardice, but Philanthropist is also right in deeming it childish arrogance….because most Canadians seem to be suffering from either one or the other; the intelligent, who see exactly what is happening (and why) are being cowards, while the unintelligent, who are oblivious to realty, are just being childish and petulant about it because they aren’t smart enough to see any other options.

What we really need (and I have said this several times before) is a conservative leader who is *not afraid* to communicate his vision and his policies to the Canadian public. And when the inevitable push-back from the Liberal/NDP types comes, what you DON’T do is pull an Erin O’Toole and immediately apologize as you scramble to reverse your position. That’s what you DON’T do.

What you actually DO is to explain your policies and the reasoning behind them. You explain why these policies are better than the current ones, and that the current ones have gotten us into the mess we find ourselves in now. You simply point to the politicians and MSM who shriek “You want American style health care!” and “You will sell out on climate change because you are a fossil-fuel stooge!” and “You will destroy the middle class to make your corporate friends richer!” and calmly state “You are LIARS”. Then explain that as well.

It can be done. It just takes someone with both brains and balls.

Sadly, Poilievre seems to have the former, but not the latter.

        1. We have that. It’s Max. He lost his seat.

Trump won because the majority of the US actually agrees with him. The Liberal/NDP/CPC axis in Canada keeps winning because the majority of Canadians agree with them.

I mentioned the PPC and Ontario Party in relation to the Ontario election and a couple of staunch CPC friends trotted out the old “racists and white supremacists” canard. There’s no fixing Canada. The country is lost.

    2. I emailed my local MP asking if chest puffing like the Libs is an intelligent strategy. I don’t expect to get an answer.

  8. Everybody knows that Canadians are very polite international peacekeepers with the greatest medical system in the world. Not like Americans who are so dumb and rude.
We can be that stupid and unaware because we live in peace guaranteed by the Americans and are able to go south for medical treatment that is not available to us here.
And we’re getting poorer and dumber by the year.

  9. In a nation where politicians of all stripes refrain from divulging their actual polices, why the hell are they all spewing forth idiocy before we even know what is happening. Smith is the only adult in the room.

  10. Juvenile arrogance sums up most canadians. The self satisfaction of thinking they are morally superior.

Uninformed ignorance is all it is…

    1. Fully agree. I usually find Jamie MacMaster correct but in this instance I think you nailed it. It is childish arrogance, not cowardice.
Or, as P.J. O’Rourke presciently described Little Potato:
“”At the core of liberalism is the spoiled child — miserable, as all spoiled children are, unsatisfied, demanding, ill-disciplined, despotic and useless. Liberalism is a philosophy of sniveling brats.””

And mix in a little “tall poppy” syndrome.

      1. Agree with that for the most part, but even the rare mature canadian has a yellow streak that lets them suffer inordinate amounts of abuse rather than rock the boat. It comes from being a subject, rather than a citizen?
