  1. There’s a lot of policy undoing that needs to be done. Let’s hope Pierre can start cutting things down soon.

  2. The oilpatch rejoices? Why? The Lib/NDP still rule, there will be no changes in policy, there will be no early election. Singh will NOT support a non-con vote now that Justin is on the way out. The most likely candidate for the leadership is Mark Carney, who is even more extreme on global warming than Justin. Better for the oilpatch if Justin had stayed on and lost the election.

    1. I agree. What has changed in reality, besides him not wearing the hat that says PM on it? Nothing has changed. In fact it may even get worse if the polling starts turning more favourable for the Libs.

      1. He still wears that hat until they choose the next leader.
If I was a card carrying liberal right now I would be royally pissed.
He’s set it up so that if the government falls before the next leader is chosen he gets to fight the next election with the outcome a total rout.
If they hang on till then they will be working under his agenda and his budget. It’s very hard to be the agent of change if you allow the opposition to say “you had a choice, you could have said no”.
Trudeau just insured that his successor will be forced to run on his platform.
        Second thought
Will any contender be required to leave cabinet to run?
Sure would be ackward if say LeBlanc needed to vacate finance this close to writing the next budget.

I surmised about a year ago that February 2024 was drop dead date for him to step down.
If he had they could have avoided all of this.

        Justin Trudeau -agent of chaos

    2. This, exactly this.

Liberals loved the policy. They just got tired of the messenger.

Now instead of an election, we get 3 more months of Trudeau. (Atleast the groundhog is only 6 more weeks of winter).

Followed by the same policies with a different messenger until fall and the fixed election.

Whereupon many people tired of trudeau will come back for a different leader and save an extra 50 liberal seats.

This isn’t good for anyone but liberals (and their ndp lackeys under Singh)

    3. Doncha really want to hear that Steven Guilbeault is GONE? Isn’t he still destroying Canada’s energy future?

    4. Exactly! Why are we celebrating? Trudeau remains the PM, Parliament is prorogued, so no chance of an election before March of 2025, and Singh gets his pension. In effect, NOTHING has changed!!!
In fact, what this does is allow the liarberals to promote themselves as a party of change with a new leader at the helm. Of course, we at SDA aren’t buying any of that spin, but there will be many Canadians that will buy into it, especially when you consider that PP’s positives aren’t exactly very rosy.
This is absolutely the worst case scenario.

    5. “Singh will NOT support a non-con vote now that Justin is on the way out. ”

Why not? An election as soon as possible is in the best interest of his party. The longer a Liberal party goes on with a new leader, the more likely the left will consolidate behind it. DanBC actually got this one right.

  3. The patch senses a boom. Exploration should kick into high gear after January 20th. The problem will be finding staff who know their way around a rig.

    Let the good times roll!

  4. nothing changes the new leader will not call an election until October so a lot more damage will be done until then

  5. Exercise caution. There are still many MP’s who need more time to qualify for their Government Pension. MP’s are loyal to their Party, not their Country. The NDP is as trustworthy as Liberals.

    1. Singh comes out this afternoon with a statement
If he doesn’t explicitly state he won’t support this government it means he’s going to support it when it returns after prorogation.

  6. Juthtin Castreau was a simply a puppet for the Libranos and the self-serving POSs behind them who rule us. He was only selected due to his popularity with the self-interested simpletons who love to vote for the party that will give them their neighbors’ money, and who will do the evil that the MSM programs them to desire.

The only thing that has changed is that the obviously ruinous policies and corruption of the Libranos has affected their standard of living. As soon as the puppet as replaced with another, most of the simpletons will be satiated and return to their idiocy.

If another party were to win (that wasn’t simply a controlled-opposition party), their ONLY priority s/b to immediately end all subsidies across the board. That would quickly bankrupt the communist propaganda outlet (aka CBC) and the other far-left propaganda outlets would quickly follow.

SNC Lavalin, Power Corp, and others would be rightly decimated, and the POSs there would scream bloody murder, but no one would hear them.

But of course this is pure fantasy. Those people control all the parties and would never allow something like an election to bring their empires down. Instead they’ll simply arrange an election result that will pacify conservatives for another year or two, spinning more of the same as a victory. While keeping the ignorant, rabid leftists gnashing their teeth and ready to return the Liberals/NDP to power four years later.

  7. This coincides with the Vegetable signing presidential edicts including the banning of all new offshore oil exploration permits in US waters. Talk about scorched earth!

  8. The Liberals have basically given themselves 3 months of leaving Saigon mode…burning evidence, deleting emails, emptying the treasury, and most of all, giving the media time to sew the false narrative that the Liberals have revented themselves so a new batch of criminals can be groomed to continue the corruption.
Canada, the cesspool of stupid voters will quickly forget or never find out the level of corruption.

  9. Stand by… Have a pail of water and a good plunger ready just in case The Turd doesn’t flush away.

  10. He’s declared his intention to resign. I seem to recall he also declared he would be a competent prime minister. How did that work out?

Look, he has simply locked himself in the bunker with a bong, a sack of cocaine and what passes for the nuclear codes in this country. How long before he invokes the Emergencies Act and orders airstrikes on Tamara Lich’s house? We’re about to live an adventure in drug-addled lunacy that could give any of the great African loon dictators a run for his money. Hope for the best.
