Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

"Smalldeadanimals doesn't speak for the people of Saskatchewan" - Former Sask Premier Lorne Calvert
"I got so much traffic after your post my web host asked me to buy a larger traffic allowance." - Dr.Ross McKitrick
Holy hell, woman. When you send someone traffic, you send someone TRAFFIC.My hosting provider thought I was being DDoSed. - Sean McCormick
"The New York Times link to me yesterday [...] generated one-fifth of the traffic I normally get from a link from Small Dead Animals." - Kathy Shaidle
"You may be a nasty right winger, but you're not nasty all the time!" - Warren Kinsella
"Go back to collecting your welfare livelihood." - Michael E. Zilkowsky
Moe has morphed into a centrist, i.e. a leader with no principles, seeking only a decent press. Slightly less massive government will no longer do, radical reform is in as citizens suffer continued decline in living standards due to idiotic energy policy, etc. etc. etc. Canada is waiting for and needs Javier Milie style reform, if only someone shows up with the balls to do it.
Moe is a left wing fascist. Anyone who has supported him or the Sask Party since the Plandemic is a degenerate piece of shit that deserves to suffer a long painful vaccine injury.
He needs to be removed from power before he violates our liberty and body autonomy again, or starts another retarded irrigation project for a minority.
Nobody deserves to suffer a long painful vaccine injury.
That’s why Moe needs to be replaced.
I’m fine with supporting the Sask United party. The Sask Party’s best years are in the rear view mirror. They are focusing on maintaining themselves and not on taking a stand on the right side of tough issues. Not collecting the carbon tax is one thing they have right.
Nobody deserves to suffer a long painful vaccine injury.
Oh, on the contrary…
“Nobody deserves to suffer a long painful vaccine injury“
Sorry WalterF, it’s forgiving cuckold attitudes like yours that allowed our society to largely accept the bullshit that the pandemic was in the first place.
Those that were, and continue to be on the wrong side of history by impeding the individual liberties of anyone during the pandemic should be judged by those of us that weren’t, and in many cases punishment should also be dispensed.
Listening to Poilievre talking about free markets and reducing the bureaucracy isn’t just a breath of fresh air. I actually feel hope for this country of ours. Had to laugh when he spoke well of Scheer.
I do not remember a time when Canadian politicians actually spoke well of free market principles. Harper did his best, but the media was too powerful back then.
A short one, but one of Poilievre’s best answers:
https://x.com/RebelNewsOnline/status/1869082544286871982
I laughed at PP’s analogy to the restaurant – it cost $ 1,000 so it must be good.
That reminds me of Christmas 1986 in Toronto. My kitchen was under renovation, but our mother was hellbent on having the family from Ottawa in my house for Christmas. I resolved it by making reservations at The Winter Palace at the top of the Sheraton Hotel. Beautiful atmosphere, excellent service but the dinner was “nouvelle cuisine”. I remind you of that disasterous chapter in dining. The meal was consomme soup, one thin slice of turkey with gravy artfully dribbled on it, a small scoop of duchess potatoes and 3 green beans per plate. Dessert was creme brulee! This was supposed to be Christmas dinner, it cost me a small fortune (thankfully Dad picked up the drinks and the tip). Afterwards, we all had to find a McDonalds to have hamburgers. That meal lives in infamy in all of our memories!
“nouvelle cuisine”
I do remember that scam. Exactly like you said BM…a shaving of meat and a couple beans on a plate.
And then the cook or the waiter kept telling us how lucky we were to be eating there.
Price was through the roof.
Hard to believe if you havent actually been through it.
Yes. A third of a cob of cotn. Picture food, and you’re supposed to think you’re getting special treatment.
Scheer is a stinking albatross that needs to be kept out of cabinet. His predispostion to perks and propensity to put his hand in the cookie jar disqualifies him from any serious consideration.
Let the Andy fanboys and fangirls enter the chat howling.
Were his backroom boys attached somehow to the Ottawa connected?
Listening to Poilievre talking about free markets and reducing bureaucracy would be a breath of fresh air if he actually meant any of that. Alas he is a conservative ie he has no principles. He wants to maintain supply management, block foreign investment, and put tariffs on BYD cars and other valuable Chinese imports. He’s mostly useful as an instrument to inflict on the Liberals a shock so harsh that they might do something interesting. Maybe they’ll actually become liberal! Or at least choose a leader that’s a non-embarrassing adult who can comprehend a spreadsheet.
BULLSHIT
Oh you poor little thing. You were abused as a child, clearly.
He’s being abused now as a child, more like it.
“BYD cars and other valuable Chinese imports.”
Most of their imports are nothing but shit
If that were true then no one would buy them. Kindly leave my wallet out of your dumb decisions.
I’ll leave your wallet on the sidewalk after I’ve sold the credit cards.
The fact that I hear the leader of a major canadian party quote Sowell and Milton Friedman… just seems unprecedented. And while I doubt the cpc itself has changed much, maybe they are just reading the weather vane properly.
I too remain skeptical … but I feel the days of Scheer and OToole are long gone. Its like the party woke up and realized they no longer are called the “Progressive Conservatives”, so no need to pretend anymore.
Maybe they’ll actually become liberal!
The Liberal Party is good at adapting to the zeitgeist. They just need to realize the zeitgeist is no longer dictated by the cbc. But I am not holding my breath.
Okay, fair enough I guess, but I am sure it’s a bad idea to expect much beyond 1) ending the worst (il)Liberal bills n’ stuff (including bad gun regulations) and 2) greatly alleviating the housing crisis. I think he can and probably will do that but probably some dumb stuff like nationalist tub-thumping over foreign investment. Poilievre is not a sophisticate, his talking points in QP usually come down to “You have to [VERB] the [NOUN].” Not good.
Should also be prepared for a very short honeymoon for Pierre. Contrary to the impression the polls may give, he’s not popular. All the federal leaders are deeply net negative on favorability scores and Trudeau is easily the worst but Pierre had the worst net movement over 2024 (I think this was from Angus). A smart political right would prepare to infiltrate and steer the Liberals.
Every problem Poilievre listed has been caused or aggravated severely by mass immigration. Canada has had mass dissimilar immigration for decades. When Trudeau said Canada was “post-national” he said it ten years ago, before he had started speed running it all, and he was mostly correct. That’s what decades of that stuff will do. Poilievre needs to get it on this. Enough.
You are correct sir. And Canadians have either elected parties dedicated to this OR have let politicians get away with.
We did this entirely to ourselves
Wrong. Exactly wrong. Mass immigration is key to solving all of these problems. You and people like you have been wrong about immigration for literally over 100 years.
Remember, folks, UnMe is on record as saying abortions are great because kids suck.

Cuckservatives start yer bibles chop chop!
Now try to understand the biblical pronouncement “you can not serve 2 masters” That is actually a philosophical pronouncement that applies in a broad social spectrum, to every human endeavor.
A person CAN be wrong on one issue and right on another.
Polievre is of the same ilk as Scheer, a lifer politician but without the endearing dimples.
A lot of conservatives are going to be very disappointed when Polievre governs as a member of the Club, panders to Quebec, continues with UNDRIP, keeps equalization payments just as they are now, and probably doesn’t defund the CBC either.
Yeah, he’ll “axe the tax”, he has to, but won’t do anything radical after that.
And, if so, will be a one term wonder.
Will the CPC remain Conservative, or, go full SQUISH, like other “conservative” leaders/ parties of the past? History says SQUISH is the direction, leading to defeat.
Upon which Mark Carney’s Liberals will be returned to power.
Those who voted LIEberal previously, will return to that camp and easily switch their votes in a future election.
Or, STAY CONSERVATIVE in thoughts, words and deeds.
Use Bojo’s and Sunak’s “conservatives” as a template TO AVOID.
Nothing endearing about those dimples. A face even a mother would slap.
PP he won’t axe the tax or give us our guns back either. At best he’ll rebrand the carbon tax to pull the wool over naive cuckservatives eyes while simultaneously saving his political clout with the left wing bureaucracy whose jobs rely on such programs.
Funny, eh. Not once did freedom-loving Peterson ask Pee-Pee about turdo’s freedom-crushing decrees during the wuhan flu nonsense, Nothing about the bank account seizures; the persecution of The Convoy organizers; the forced abandonment of seniors; the get-jabbed-to-keep-your-job extortions; or how the 22 months of criminal foolishness contributed to the economic ruin of our Nation. It’s like none of that happened.
You’d almost wonder if that was a pre-condition of the interview, eh? Gee, and I wonder who would have set the condition – Peterson or Pee-Pee? Just kidding. We know. And we know why, too.
Lots of us noticed this too and had similar thoughts
Its been memory-holed by the PTB, and the public, at some level sensing their own shame at going along with all that BS is happy to memory-hole it as well.
Restaurants stormed by armed troops on horseback, old ladies trampled, pastors arrested and jailed for holding a service, or feeding the homeless, kids arrested for playing hockey outside, people denouncing their neighbors for having friends over, people being de-banked with zero due process, mask and social distance Karens harassing strangers in public spaces, all with the full approval of the gov’t and their lickspittle media whores, and much of the public at large.
“…at some level sensing their own shame…” You give the public too much credit. They would double-down in a heartbeat given the opportunity. That is one of the problems with today’s society/culture: no shame.
Perhaps.
At any rate, any shame is far outweighed by their abject cowardice and malice towards their fellows, and wouldn’t prevent them from doing it again, that’s for sure.
yeahBUTT
You left out the pounders who resurrected those construction barriers around the church in AB. You know, the go along to get along crowd.
1. Those construction barriers were placed there by the cops, against the wishes of the church staff.
2. The resistance to the tyranny was considerably higher among the faithful than among the population at large. Lots of churches were hassled for disregarding the evil edicts.
3. I guess you’re in favor of burning them down.
“the public … sensing their own shame at going along with all that BS is happy to memory-hole it”
You may be right, but in this case It’s the CPC sensing it’s own complicity. They have no shame. They simply dont want it brought up because it might impact the next election. And anyone who helps them sweep it under the rug now will be complicit when the next assault on our liberties occurs.

And people wonder why Max is a thing!
Maybe Peterson was just too tired to ask, he still has some catching up after 25 days without sleeping, or maybe the benzo problem he had in the past has some lingering effects. Or maybe his bust sales are just not what he had hoped for.
In my mind, a kind of a kabuki aesthetic in all this.
I can understand not talking about the wu flue BS, just makes everyone mad. Focus on fixing what can be fixed. If this becomes a purity test welcome to the left, and expect leftism.
Way to comes out swingin’ in favor of memory-holing egregious crimes against millions, rather than, say, holding the perps to account, and then saying a strong desire to hold the criminals to account is a lefty thing.
LOL!
Somewhat agree. On the one hand, we would love to hear PP denounce the Covidiot government and fascistic acts and actions the Lieberals took, with glee, against its own citizens for just protesting their oppression.
On the other hand, I can’t blame PP and the CPC from taking a page from history, and for now, living by Napoleon’s famous axiom:
When your enemy is making mistakes, let them continue/stay out of their way/etc.
IOW, don’t give the Lieberals ANY issue or item for them to wedge their way back into popularity. Can we blame them? The CPC history is to continually shoot itself in the foot when victory looks apparent.
Covid, the fascist response and the Holy Blessed Sacrament Jab are still worshipped by far too many people. Resurrect the issues, and the LPC will find a way to take advantage of that wedge issue. It’s their specialty.
“I can understand not talking about the wu flue BS”
You’ve got to be kidding. Our entire Parliament was complicit in a completely unnecessary 2 year removal of our fundamental freedoms, lives were ruined, innocents were jailed, people died alone and abandoned, and we should just forget about it?
Incredible.
It truly was and is a national disgrace and people have to answer for the lies and fraud. Politicians, so called health experts in government, even the medical profession itself has to held accountable. That they lie while assuming a mantle professional immunity is not acceptable.

“What we have seen in talking to people, is a lot of people in the cities voted NDP because they were so dissatisfied with the direction that the Sask Party is going.”
Now that statement makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. So people were dissatisfied with the Sask Party moving too far left so they voted for the NDP?????
Time to realize that Peterson is just another blow hard and PP is as useless as tits on a bull.
Lol.
My new band, the Bull Tits, now on the country and western circuit.
People’s Party is a much better choice than the CONservatives. Polievre gave the jackboot to Christine Anderson and the MP’s that met with her. He is better than Trudeau and probably better than OToole. That’s a very low standard.
Polievre has not backed down on any part of his anti-freedom, compliance at all costs agenda. His Venezuelan born wife is also on record as anti freedom/ compliant. With them there is no hope for lessening the power of the nanny state other than a bit more money left in our pockets for bauble and trinkets.
A vote for the Conservatives is a wasted vote.
But…but…but…a vote for the most conservative platform in the country is really a vote for the libs!
-Thus spake the controlled opposition.
L – To sum the cognitive dissonance: There are Red Tories in front of us. Red Tories to the
left of us. Red Tories to the Right of us. And behind us maybe, pink Tories, at best.
To prevail, we need to have the courage of our convictions and be like Cyrano de Bergerac
and the Three Musketeers(“one for all and all for one”; skewering the ignominious ones with
our rapier wit.
There is a big difference between hope and trust.
There is a big difference between a friend who will help you move and a friend who will help you move a body.
I thought this was supposed to be about Jon.
A leader in search of a party.
Listening to Jon reminds me of a comment I heard years ago, “Never underestimate man’s ability to explain away…anything.”
All that he said about “leadership review” he knew before jumping to the front of the “unity” train.
What is his level of “EQ”?
And he also knew that many of the negative issues facing Saskatchewan are the result of federal policy. Interesting that this is the direction this thread has taken!
Me thinks the blood sweat and treasure expended by his supporters they will find instructive.
I thought the comments on this post were to be about the SK Party and it’s leadership?
I heard of a sitting SK Party MLA getting a campaign team ready. If people want to make changes to a party buy a membership get involved and let the games begin. That’s what they did in the US and it worked.
Good point Carol.
When the JP interview surfaced I expected a link to it here on SDA.
I believe if it had been linked this discussion would have appeared then.
I appreciated the interview but I was also disappointed that the plandemic issues were not discussed.
Carol, that doesn’t work anymore in Canada. I was a card carrying, financial supporting member of the old conservative party and things are no longer as they used to be. The party left me and they are far from conservative these days.
I was talking about our SK government and will make one point about the Federal government candidates.
Max is not who you believe he is!
The only way you can change any organization is get involved and work until you change it, it works in any organization and any country.
It can be done!
