    1. Most of them are “I showed up for work and successfully didn’t step on my crank” type awards.

He is a prime example of the military giving out too many awards, and having too many general seat warmers. Given that the US has had ongoing combat operations for the better part of 23 years, he probably should have been RIF’d a long time ago, but he is one of those officers that survived the Obama purges

      1. Since the “Obama purges”, I wonder how many officers above the rank of Colonel are “warriors” as opposed to “politicians”.

        1. All of them are politicians, it’s a requirement once you leave a field command in order to get promoted. “Up or Out” was a stupid policy, removing effective commanders because they didn’t want to go into a staff/office job.

    2. An abundance of paper cuts ….some very serious that forced him to go on long term disability for years at a time 😉

    3. Not at all. Those are participation badges. Everybody gets them so to create an inclusive environment. /s.

    4. No shit! He looks like a bad AI version of an authentic American combat hero. Talk about stolen valor!

    1. To be fair, the majority of the ribbons aren’t ‘medals’, they’re simply acknowledgements of having participated in a specific deployment, as Mike T. mentioned.
If there are any ‘medals’ I’d be curious as to what they were awarded for?

      1. From his bio:
Defense Superior Service Medal with oak leaf cluster
Defense Meritorious Service Medal with oak leaf cluster
Meritorious Service Medal with three oak leaf clusters
Joint Service Commendation Medal with oak leaf cluster
Air Force Commendation Medal with two oak leaf clusters
        Air Force Achievement Medal
        Distinguished Service Medal (Air Force)
Joint Meritorious Service Award (2 Oak Leaf Clusters)
Air & Space Longevity Service Award (6 Oak Leaf Clusters)

  1. To top it off, the yanks just shot down one of their own fighter jets in the Red Sae area. By mistake, of course.

    1. @GYM:
Calm down, just a typo that I missed.
      Big deal.
The comment was in reference is the so-called incompetence of the Pentagon.
It’s a wisecrack but you probably don’t know what that is.

      1. Keep it cool. Typical GYM post. In this case, GYM is the proverbial pot, and you are the kettle.

Cognitive dissonance is common in lie-berals, and GYM.

  2. Number of personnel who have completed diversity training he could tell you exactly. Priorities.

      1. The Gettysburg captain or the pilots?

One of the pilots was injured. Does that mean a purple heart?

        1. I don’t know, but I think an injury from an accident with no enemy present wouldn’t qualify. (If the aircrew are Marines that would be the set-up for them to say, “Well, it was the Navy that shot us down, so yeah, he gets a Purple Heart.)

  3. Tom Cruise would be appalled.
If our own guys are shooting each other down, maybe he did earn that longevity award.

  4. He is an Air Force Maj gen. One thing I notice missing from his uniform are pilot’s wings? Don’t know much about that sort of thing so could be missing it. I do note his bio lists no flying assignments.

    1. Why would an Air Force Major General know anything about flying? (A question for Biden’s poodle in the press room.)
