  1. Trunp should make the tariffs 50% until he doesn’t have to deal with whiny little bitches.

Bring some functioning adults into the room, tariffs back down to 25%

    1. And he should apply it to everything east of the Ontario/Manitoba border…..and then apply an additional 25% on top of it to Quebec.

  2. The Boy Prime Minister is in for a big surprise if he thinks he can play in the same league as the Manhattan real estate developer.

  3. This is a trial balloon to see if he can stir up enough anti-American sentiment so that he can campaign against Trump in the next election since PP stubbornly refuses to give him any ammunition. He doesn’t care how much damage is done to our economy as long as he can manufacture a chance to keep his job.

    1. Same with Singh. He will not allow the Libs to fall in a non-confidence vote, ever. Regardless of how bad the situation is. Right now, in his position, he has a ‘little bit’ of power, and he’ll do all he can to keep it. As future Leader of The Official Opposition, he will have no power at all.

      1. February 25, 2025 is when he vests his pension, he still might surprise us and cause the government to fall after that date.

      2. I have a feeling that the future Official Opposition will be the Bloc.
        It has happened before.

    2. He is truly misreading the room. Canadians look at Trump and his pledge to tear the government down, and they only wish it would happen here. Our government has failed in every sphere, Canadians are disgusted by it and want different. Trump would win here, I’m starting to think.

    3. Ontario has already started advertising mightily on FOX news for the U.S. audience as to how important Ontario is for them.

    4. Not sure how “We’re soft on crime and immigration, so Trump slapped us with 25% Tariffs” is a winning message for Trudeau…

    5. This will be the Liberal theme until the election; that Poilievre is “Trump Of The North” and “Poilievre has MAGA policies” etc etc.
Of course for many of us here our response would be, “Well ya…I’m already voting Conservative. No need to convince me more.”

  4. The #Libranos and The Turd™ find it easier to get into an economic war with the largest economy in the world, than to simply get a grip on their border situation and their out of control immigration fiasco they’ve built up for the past 9 years?
They’re imbeciles. All the #Libranos, all their supporters, all their fellatists…

Will there be an over/under contest at SDA for how great Canada’s federal deficit will be for the year?
I’ll say $59.2 Billion (it’s a large number, and capitalised with intent) with $60 B being viewed as “just too big”

Granted it’s only Canadian dollars, and now that the Canadian dollar is falling against all the other currencies and not just the US $ … it’s becoming easy to ramp up those digits.

    1. I’ll take the over, with the Liberal/NFP government veiwing 60B as more of an aspirational goalpost than a no-go zone.

  5. Oh, noes! The price of maple syrup has gone up…we must immediately impeach Donald Trump!

Fidelito is a joke. BTW, is your bank account un-frozen yet?

  6. “Team Canada, pull together as a country”.

Trudeau has absolutely no self awareness. He has been picking fights with everyone and he now wants ,no demands, that everyone supports him against Trump. Just forget about : carbon taxes, illegal use of the Emergencies Act, threatening to arrest Sask politicians and using the CRA to harass the province, trying to destroy the prairie’s energy industry, attempting to confiscate firearms, massive corruption, unsustainable immigration, insulting everyone who disagrees with Trudeau, not releasing the names of MPs tied to foreign interference etc., etc.

There is no Team Canada anymore because Trudeau has destroyed national unity, social cohesion and economic wealth. Every province has to negotiate their own deals with the US because no one trusts the Trudeau Liberal government. “Sow the wind, reap the whirlwind”

      1. And that Trump is demanding we do two simple things which would benefit Canada – clean up illegal immigration and our drug trafficking – and the Spawn is pushing back because…..drugs and illegal immigrants show how much better we are?

      2. Unfortunately, he does speak for canada whether we want him to or not. That means that all of his foolish words and actions have consequences for Canadians.

He’s the worst Canadian prime minister in my lifetime and perhaps even in the history of Canada. Conservative voters have known Trudeau was a dangerous, malicious joker since the 2015 election. Liberal voters are figuring it out 9 years too late. World leaders have been treating Trudeau like a bad joke for years. I mean, does anyone seriously think that Trump would troll and disrespect someone like Harper in this way? Not likely because most other Canadian prime ministers had more gravitas in their little finger than Trudeau shown in his entire lifetime.

  7. Did it not occur to your PM to actually SECURE the Canadian side of the US border? Secure your border … no tariffs. Simple. Unless you have a simpleton for a PM.

    Cooperation or confrontation. You choose.

    1. I suspect that the Liberal Party is tied in to organized crime networks. Porous borders and ports, lax law enfxrcement, unvetted/uncontrolled immigration and a money laundering friendly banking system makes Canada a dream country for organized crime syndicates and other criminals. It’s not that the Trudeau Liberal government couldn’t secure the border, they didn’t want to secure the border. Trump’s tariff threats are making the Trudeau government secure the borders.

      1. Bingo!

Turdholeland is a criminal enterprise pretending to be a country.
It is a “Post Nation State” Globalist shithole and criminal front.
The “Government” is the lawless drug dealer and human trafficker and Turdholeland is the money laundering capital of the planet.

Its appropriate that a country as politically and institutionally corrupt as the Post Nation State be treated like any other criminal enterprise is treated.

  8. Never underestimate the stupidity of Canadians. The rooster lollipop of Lac Herrington is gaining support for “standing up” to Orange Man Bad. The cheerleaders in the legacy media are egging him on. Look for a short lived CPC minority government next election.

  9. Some say Freeland is “nice”, but they also says she’s a half-wit.
She was in put in place by a quarter-wit, and that’s being generous by 3/8ths.
    And I’m being generous.

  10. To repeat a pithy quote I cited several weeks back, in his book “The Patriot Game” Peter Brimelow noted that “Canada, like certain obscure sea creature, has evolved vital organs outside its skeletal structure, in this case, south of the 49th parallel.” Too true Peter!

So….we may finally get our borders, lax immigration and drug- and people-smuggling, etc., issues fixed not because (1) the Canadian political class (moral cowards) has the collective cojones to deal with these issues, nor (2) because Canadian voters (a bunch of cowering, permission-asking, rule-following, authority-deferring, mask-wearing, social ostracism-fearing, government teat-suckling, courage-deficient, moral Liliputians) demand it, BUT BECAUSE THE U.S. WILL FORCE US TO.

FYI: What Strauss utters publicly and what he thinks privately can sometimes differ. During the run up to the recent US election, I stated publicly that Canadians should concentrate on getting their own house in order and that the US election merely provided an amusing distraction from the gross mismanagement, misgovernment and mis-imagination of Canada. In reality, I knew that the US election result could have important implications for Canada for the reasons explained in the preceding paragraph. “The facts of life are conservative” as Maggie Thatcher repeatedly stated and if Canadians can’t face these facts on their own, then it’s great to have Orange Man throw them in their face.

    1. There may be a more complicated game going here which speaks to the lack of Liberal backbone and the party’s inability to take responsibility for needed legislation to be either promulgated and/or enforced.

It has been credibly argued that during the late 50s and early 60s certain southern governors – despite their rhetoric to the contrary – knew that the Jim Crow laws had to go but they didn’t want to lose face politically with their white constituents and so were actually pleased when the American federal government sent federal troops in to keep the peace (I seem to recall Arkansas governor Orval Faubus practically begging Eisenhower to intervene because it would get the former ‘off the hook’ of having to enforce various civils rights laws).

By the same token, sensible Liberals (assuming they exist) know that what Trump is asking for re the Canada-US border NEEDS to be done but the Liberals don’t want to lose face with and support from the numerous ethnic communities to whom they have been pandering to for years (doing the Right Thing in the National Interest is wholly absent for the Liberals calculations). Just as comedian Flip Wilson used to say “the devil made me do it”, so the Liberals can cover their a** with their ethnic constituents and say “Trump made us do it.”

  11. Don’t blame Turd/Shit Jr. The golden triangle has been controlling Canada since its (Canada) inception.

  12. “It is very important not to cast any doubt on Canada’s financial credibility.”

Yes, with looney at 70.5 cents one would think there is no room for provoking trade sanctions.

    1. No wonder my G and S has been rocketing recently wrt to the CAD. The CAD is falling just as fast. G is currently over $3800 CAD.

  13. Anyone who voted for these clowns should have to write a 5 page, single spaced essay apologizing to Canadians and promising not to participate in democracy again.

I don’t even blame the Libs and NDP anymore. They’re evil morons doing the only thing they know how to do, steal and lie. This is entirely the fault of people who voted for this.
