    1. Then there’s the “Private Video” message.

But hey! It’s the thought that counts.

BTW, when I see ‘RT rating of’ I used to think, “Who cares about Russia Today’s rating of the movie?”

It took me a while to figure out that it was Rotten Tomatoes rating the movie. I don’t get out to the movies much, if you can’t tell. ;o)

  1. I posted this late in yesterday’s Reader Tips so in case you missed this interesting new development:

Sweden is a trend setter again.

Sweden’s ‘soft girl’ trend that celebrates women quitting work.

I wonder if BBC chose this woman to represent the trend because she looks like a rich man’s wife. abtrapper has a theory.

    1. Anyone who believes male and female members of the human species must act identically in regard to every aspect of life is a moron.

Feminists who believe young women must suffer through things they don’t enjoy in order to acknowledge the struggles of the past: also morons.

    2. and what about if the trend really takes off, and the chap in the relationships looks for and finds ‘greener pastures’ and ms soft is left high and dry, no income and tattered work skills? there’s always a downside eh girlie?

        1. But it’s not “his” stuff. It’s their stuff and she deserves at least 1/2 – more if he is at fault in the break up.

      1. VOWG – the Liberals need votes everywhere. Trudeau thinks voters are stupid and all he has to do is throw more of their own money at them. Money they have to pay back. Typical narcissistic psychopath.

    1. Behind a paywall.

The Israeli military shared photos of soldiers on the Syrian side of the Hermon mountain, which was taken over by Israel on Sunday.
While Israel said the takeover was temporary, analysts said they couldn’t rule out it holding on to the territory for longer.
It isn’t clear Israeli troops will be able to maintain their positions atop the mountain during the winter without Israel building new infrastructure for them, said Amir Avivi, a former senior Israeli military official who is frequently updated by defense officials.
He said Israel quickly moved to those positions both to gain control of the highest ground as well as to send a message to Syrian militants not to get close.
“They are sending a message that we are here, don’t get near,” Avivi said. “If you want to secure the Hermon, you need to control the high ground.”

  2. Winnipeg raising taxes by almost 6% for 2025, the highest increase in 34 years.

I predicted this about 5 years ago, sitting in a small town near Flin Flon where they were talking about the mines getting smaller, the jobs more scarce and the crumbling infrastructure. Now, the big cities are looking to the provincial government for more money, oblivious to the fact that the entire province is facing an impending tax base crash as mining enters its twilight there.

And do they even consider cutting services? No. Just increasing taxes to give residents the services “they expect of a large city”. Good luck Winnipeg.

  3. Got to wonder how much of their budget is special interest and grifter crap that has nothing to do with basic services.

  4. How can the (now deceased) CEO of United Healthcare who makes $10 million per year be worth $10 million and Nancy Pelosi who makes $500,000 per year be worth $240 million?

Because one person writes the health care laws and the other person implements them.

    1. 15 August 2025 on X/Twitter
” According to QuiverQuant, Nancy Pelosi has made $10,000,000 in the stock market just this week.
      That’s 45x her yearly salary.
      In one week.”

There was a move to have those (there’s a few of them) who track the Pelosi and other Reps/Senator trades, it appears to have failed.

      1. Ah, you guys are all over it. But note that he was found not guilty of manslaughter. He is still facing charges – serious ones.

        1. Daniel Penny acquitted of criminally negligent homicide after more serious manslaughter charge was dismissed. Source CNN today, Dec 9. Manslaughter charge was dismissed by Judge last week.

        2. There is or will be a civil suit against him still which may cost Mr. Penny, and the other charge against him was dropped in a way that the charge could be brought again…

          But for now he’s free.

  5. Daniel Penny (white) found not guilty of manslaughter after holding down Jordon Neely (black) in a chokehold. Now as directed by the judge, the jury will deliberate whether Penny is guilty of the lesser charge of criminally negligent homicide (which is also ridiculous).

As summarized by the Canadian Press …

“Penny placed Neely in a chokehold for about six minutes after Neely began acting erratically on a subway car. During the monthlong trial, the 26-year-old Penny’s lawyers argued he put his own safety on the line to protect other passengers from a mentally ill and menacing man, while prosecutors said he went too far in responding to Neely, who was unarmed.”

    Neely later died.

  6. Trudeau Now Tied With Conservative Leader on Who’s Trusted to Deal With Trump???
Are Canadians really that delusional? After Trudeau and Witch Twitchy were effectively banned from the Trump Whitehouse and given a take it or leave it on the trade agreement after badmouthing Trump? Unbelievable!

On the other hand 338Canada.com indicates that 70% of Lib drones are at risk of being fired and the BQ are close to forming the opposition – lets go for 75%.

  7. $70 B’s …. and NO mention of the federal imbeciles in Ottawa, nor The Turd™

“What a time to be Albertan!”

“At $70 billion this proposed data centre mega project is set to be the largest investment in Alberta’s history and the largest investment of its kind in the world. The jobs, economic diversification and wealth generated will benefit Albertans for generations.”

“Excited to see this incredible project led by Kevin O’Leary
@kevinolearytv coming to Wonder Valley, located in the Municipal District of Greenview.”

    https://x.com/ABDanielleSmith/status/1866182342290645499

*I haven’t seen any mention of a tax break given to the O’Leary group, aside from the low taxes already offered both in AB in general and in the Grand Prairie area.
*I think a Westinghouse small nuclear reactor would work well here too…

  8. “The dangerous alliance of Rothschild and the Vatican of Francis
    F. William Engdahl
    22 Dec 2020

“Holy Moly! The most globalist and interventionist Pope since the Crusades of the 12th Century has formalized an alliance with the largest figures in global finance led by none other than that noble banking family, Rothschild. The new alliance is a joint venture they call “Council for Inclusive Capitalism with the Vatican.

Rothschild’s Guardians also include Darren Walker the CEO of the Ford Foundation. Those two foundations, Ford and Rockefeller, have done more to shape an imperial American foreign policy than even the US State Department or CIA, including the funding of the failed Green Revolution in India and Mexico, and the creation by Rockefeller funds of GMO crops.”
