  1. All the modern wisdoms about immigration are as fake as “Pangolins did it.”

The next time you’re in gridlock hell and you put it in park on the biggest highways in North America look around and see who’s in the cars around you.

    1. And when you finally get to the car accident that blocked the highway, look at who’s standing around looking at the wreckage

  2. Real GDP (after inflation) over the last 10 years has risen 0.6% in the deranged dominion. That basket case level of stasis came at a cost of doubling the national debt with billions spent on uncontrolled subsidized human importation. Green (Butt’s policies) theocracies are a very expensive way to destroy an economy. At least the communists had dams and bleak housing blocks that were still functional after the fall.

    1. Just think how much worse it would be if “Justin the Profligate” didn’t increase government spending by $151 billion between 2015-16 and 2022-2023. If not for all of that government spending, graft, and waste, the GDP would have been smaller.

  3. The right kind of immigration is a good thing, example skilled tradesmen. However how many skip the dishes drivers do we really need?

    1. I’m fine with skip the dishes people and hamburger flippers. What about the ones getting government cheques for doing nothing? Do we really need them? Or the non-working immigrants who are in the country for medical / dental assistance? I know. Heartless. Let’s help the whole world. We will feel much better.

      1. How does the economy collapse w/o immigration? Supply and demand would dictate that wages would rise where there was a shortage of applicants for positions, until a new equilibrium was established.

I’m talking economics here btw, not Keynesianism.

          1. And when Tim Horton’s can’t sell any coffees for $10/cup … they’ll either go out of business or lower their price by automating coffee brewing and serving.

And no one will get infected with salmonella or ecoli

      2. An export based economy can do quite well with gradually declining population as long as the government doesn’t interfere in the economy. When labour costs get too high, capital is substituted. It’s the service sector and real estate that suffers from a shrinking market.

    2. Kinda like the knee-jerk reaction to those opposing murdering babies is, “what about those poor victims of rape?” or “what about when the life of the mother is at risk?”, when in reality the overwhelming majority use abortion as birth control. It’s just an argument used to slip the Trojan Horse through the gates.

      Immigration is not needed.

      Ever.

Even if there was a need for skilled tradesmen that weren’t available locally, then temporary visas could be issued.

Canada is a large country, and the greater the population, the bigger the tax base. So , proper immigration is a good thing. Libtard’s current policies are destructive.
        YES, I am an immigrant.

        1. What is the benefit of a bigger tax base? Does the increased tax base provide more benefits per capita, or is more of the existing tax base used to cover the costs of the new immigrants?

And in any case, what is the social cost of densifying society? There are now more people on the road, more people in the national parks, etc. Why is that good for anyone?

And that ignores the reality that the vast majority of immigrants bring their own morality, customs, and crime that is often at odds/harmful to the native population.

I see all of this as a divide-and-conquer/rule strategy by the POSs that actually rule us.

          1. (never thought I’d say this) Gym is right. There are thousands of jobs that only exist because of low wages. Don’t like it? Fine, go stack grocery store shelves. Go pour coffee at a fast food joint. Go pick fruit. Canadians won’t do these jobs.

          2. Funny how those jobs used to get done back before we imported hordes of low-skill people from India in particular. Canadian teenagers even used to work those jobs to get started building work experience, whereas now they’re suffering from some of the highest unemployment rates on record as they can’t get those jobs.

And if it turns out that we can’t staff 3 Tim Horton’s every 1000 meters without the hordes, then close 2 of them and go on with life. Nobody will miss them. Same with the bogus diploma mills. Shut them down, nothing of value will be lost.

Just like very little of value will be lost sending most if not all of the phony immigrants back where they came from.

          3. All jobs would still exist. It was refreshing years ago when I visited NZ to have white English-speaking taxi drivers. It was something older people didn’t mind doing, and made the ride far more comfortable.

  4. GDP is a tally of all spending in the economy, no matter for what purpose the spending was undertaken. So we could pay some people to dig holes and other people to fill them in, and GDP would go up. What’s shocking is that despite the incredible spike in spending by all levels of government, GDP is actually falling. What this means is that private business investment must be literally be falling off a cliff.

    1. You’re correct, and it’s insane. Business people (real business people) and companies are really giving up on Canada.

What “Institute” or “Consultancy Firm” will Trudy be hired at after he’s booted from office?

    2. Hundreds of billions of investment dollars have fled Canada. The average institutional investor here allocates maybe 20% of their portfolios for domestic investment.

    3. Exactly – it’s not indicative of a healthy economy, which is why it’s used. It’s a deceptive figure.

It’s used similarly to the employment rate – a deceptive figure to deceive some into believing that a failing economy is actually on the rise.

If hundreds of thousands of professionals lose their high-paying jobs in the oilpatch, and start driving busses and delivering meals, there is no impact to the employment rate.

  5. Freeland 2023: “When our economies are all desperate for skilled workers, Canada’s unique enthusiasm for welcoming new Canadians not only makes our communities more vibrant, it is also an international economic competitive advance and sorry to say to the non-Canadians who are here. This is one, this is part of Canada’s secret sauce, economically.”

    1. The real job of the treasonous puppet POS’s like that commie troll is to sell lies to Canadians about why the obviously damaging actions they are purposely undertaking are somehow good for us.

All of them should be dangling from lamp posts.
