  23. The U of Alberta business faculty, fortiesh years ago, taught Pascal. The language was so simple and rational and worked well to write my dozen bonehead programs for the course. At the time we were taught that COBOL was more or less a dead language. So much for that thought. I’m not sure if anyone even uses Pascal any more.

      l had a prof ADMIT is was useless as a business language, well it turned out not quite, but, BUT had NO input/output language standards, that because systems acted differently in that aspect.
      it was weird in a way, no ‘goto’ had to put it all in a loop within a loop within a loop. anyone who programmed in the language knows what lm talking about.
