I thought Trump had figured out how the system works but apparently he doesn’t.
He may have pulled off the trifecta and think his picks will get automatic approval but I doubt it. Some of these will run into serious opposition and IMO won’t pass muster.
RFK jr will be vigorously rejected. His ideas are far outside mainstream thinking. For example the professionals in the department will never accept his views on vaccines or floride. If he passed the vetting process the department will oppose his every move. Trouble ahead.
Interesting. So far, I’ve heard claims that Tulsi Gabbard will be rejected, so will Matt Gaetz, and now, for the first time, someone is claiming that RFK Jr. will get tossed.

The Book of Revelation says that God will spit out “moderately” tempered … lukewarm … water. I believe John was also writing about human nature that is imprinted with God’s character.
Unlike Canada with a majority the power of the President isn’t absolute. There are checks and balances that Canada doesn’t enjoy. For example although the GOP holds a majority in the Senate it doesn’t mean all the Senators will fall in line and vote the will of the President. They don’t have whipped votes like we do in Canada.
There maybe dissenting votes and confirmation isn’t guaranteed.
Lets say RFK jr is confirmed. The department he will manage has already signalled their skepticism. They will stifle/sabotage his every move. Sure he can fire them all but who will replace professionals? More professionals with similar views.
Or maybe Trump is playing 4D chess with RFK jr. Maybe he already knows there is trouble ahead and he will not be confirmed and he (Trump) already has a back up plan? Hey it’s politics.
