  1. I don’t think he is. I think it’s a false flag. He doesn’t have the experience to fit that slot. It wouldn’t surprise me if they are floating his name and waiting to see the response (indirectly from the CIA) in the Washington Post (which they co-op when they want to drop info or shape policy).

It may, even, be an effort to clean house by encouraging retirements and voluntary quits in advance of naming the Director so as to determine who is playing whose team. That’s what I would do. I’d float the most unappetizing potential individual, then see how everyone behaves.

    1. The only experience that would suit the CIA is bad experience. Bring in Mike Flynn to be DDO, he ran defense intelligence, plenty of experience, and then dig up the dirt, uproot the rot, shrink the agency by 75%, minimum.

    2. I agree. Patel wss never in the running. Trump has named John Radcliffe. Announced it earlier today.

    1. Haven’t there already been 3 failed (barely) assassination attempts in the past 3 months? Kash won’t do better???

  2. My man crush on Kashmir Patel just spiked off the charts! Please … please … put him in charge of the CIA … and let the Swamp draining commence.

    He’s a “brown man” … he’s untouchable

    1. “My man crush on Kashmir Patel just spiked off the charts! Please … please … put him in charge of the CIA … and let the Swamp draining commence.”

100%, Kenji. I’d never seen him speak before. Wow…

    2. “He’s a “brown man” … he’s untouchable”

Naah, that’s a one way street, if he’s a conservative he’ll be smeared as an Uncle Krishna.

  3. I will be supremely disappointed if Donald John Trump doesn’t begin his inauguration speech on January 20, 2025 by stating “ Christopher Wray – PACK. YOUR. BAGS. YOU’RE FIRED!!!! “ and then begins detailing for 20 minutes all the reasons why.

  4. The “folks with experience” have dropped the ball…

Fresh blood, or expect the same, Kash Patel fits the bill

Not looking for an argument here, but I think Rubio is going to take Secretary of State …
For whatever his offences were re: “group of eight” he is on “Team Trump” regarding foreign service, and Trump values loyalty more than anything… and that was sorely lacking during the 45th Administration.

Mike Huckabee, “Sarah’s Dad” Ambassador to Israel…

    1. Rubio voted for amnesty for the DACA recipients. Sorry. He was DEAD TO ME after that. Hope he doesn’t pull another one of those boners as Sec. of State …

    2. Quote from Sundance at theconservativetreehouse.com: “If President Trump pulls Marco Rubio out of the Senate, he opens up the position of Chair of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence (SSCI). Rubio would love the opportunity to load his presidential aspiration resume with Secretary of State, for later use. However, this also opens the opportunity for Florida Governor Ron DeSantis to appoint an interim senator who would be more MAGA-minded, trustworthy and loyal (dare I say Gaetz).

“With Rubio removed from the equation of the IC problem, the issue becomes mitigating (think neutering) the Secretary of State from undermining the Trump Doctrine; which, as you know, is the key Trump foreign policy approach using economic power combined with diplomacy.”

  5. Patel knows a lot about who the traitors are. He’s really smart and methodical.

As pointed out above, I’d give him bodyguards right now. Might have to hire them from private sources!

Wouldn’t be surprised to see Wray resign.

As an aside, misogynist Trump seems to be hiring a lot of chicks and brown people.

    The worst Hitler imitator ever!

  6. Go watch his movie or read the book
    “Government Gangsters”
then get back to me about being qualified

    1. That makes sense. Ratcliffe has the DNI office under his belt, and didn’t give Trump any reason to doubt him while in that post. It, also, gave him very good insight as to how the integration of the intelligence community is being abused. So, now he has a piece of the corruption to clean up.

I still think Grennel has a good shot at secretary of state, and they were floating Rubio’s name as a troll.

      1. Ric Grennell would be good. He was fearless in carrying out Trump’s policies and stood up to the swamp. As best I know, correct me if I’m wrong, he never stabbed PDJT in the back. Very loyal.

He was an ambassador and knows how State works.

        1. The only dicey behavior by Grennell was going all in on shooting down a congressional candidate in PA back during the last midterms. The candidate was a black female who was saying all the right things, but for some reason Grennell had an issue with her as a candidate. (shrugs)…he might have been right about it. Other than that, he has been rock solid.

He, of course, was ambassador in Germany, which is a real trouble spot and focus right now relative to the German political landscape, energy policy, as well as how that ties into our relationship with Russia. He’s a good fit. Plus you get the added bonus of sending an openly gay Secretary of State out to interact with Muslims. That’s popcorn time.

    1. Don’t be surprised if the Executive Office (IE Trump) creates new positions for what I would term “floaters.” Their job being to search out and “destroy” corruption. Each agency has their Inspector General(s)…but we’ve seen how ineffective and protective they’ve been. They have turned into political appointees with no repercussions for office abuse. They have been instrumental in allowing the status quo.

I think Patel would be a good fit in such a roll. He’s motivated, brash, and could take some of the pressure off of the Directors.

      1. Agreed. Let’s hope he can become Ratcliffe’s attack dog. Sikk em Kash! Bite Kash! Bite the perps!

  7. What the swamp rats fear – who we’re fine with “our democracy,” nobody is above the law and their hoaxes – is exactly what the Trump team should do. Let them live in fear of the state, of being under the thumb of “justice.”

  8. generally speaking, it appears the Donald is way ahead on the learning curve this time; he is primarily a businessman secondarily a politician.
he was in unfamiliar territory in 1st term, that was a dry run.
l opined at a supper meeting l think he has postponed the End Times enough lm only going to catch the earliest part of the really rough stuff, enough to know l was right about it all to my own satisfaction.

    1. “…l’m only going to catch the earliest part of the really rough stuff, ”
I probably shouldn’t read too much into your statement but that sounds ominous; you’re OK?

  9. Oh man, you can’t see it, but I can’t stop smiling on this pick:

    Pete Hegseth, Secretary of Defense.

To give you an idea how this guy thinks. He says the absolute most stupid saying you can apply to the military is “Diversity is our strength.”

Former Navy Seal. Two Bronze Stars. All around good egg.

    1. Elon will need a cohort of assistants to help root out corruption. If we call them X-Men will Hollywood make a movie about them?
Of course the original G-Men were the Untouchables but look how that turned out.

  10. We could just get a couple hours from D.O.G.E.? Canadians are sheep, the bureaucrats will not resist, and if they try, they aren’t good at anything, so who cares?
