  1. This may explain why Garden Gnome Barbie was twitching so badly in the post below.

  2. If the Republican government really wants to hit Trudeau where it hurts then slap huge tariffs on products from Quebec and give 100% tariff exemption on natural resources coming from Alberta and Saskatchewan (oil, natural gas, potash, uranium, etc.). /s

  3. How would you get them to give up guaranteed money? It seems to me that we have a more collectivist ,socialist view points than south of the border, and the more individualist
of us move south. Even here in Alberta, about 50% of people are socialist. Now , an election to start the process would help, but Harper had a chance. He let Canadian common sense hold the the process back, Poilievre might get the chance to try, with the other 4 parties aligned against him. Personally, i think Supply management may help, in Dairy at least. RFK wants a clean food supply, we can help. We need far better negotiators then we sent the last time ,though. Just one example, but re education takes generations

I don’t follow you. Please explain.

  4. My #1 complaint of the first Trump term was the failure to set a precedent by “taking heads and putting them on spikes outside the castle gates.” It would seem that even before returning to the office he’s laying down the precedent. There are going to be a lot of resumes going out from FBI, DOJ, and CIA in short order…which is why you want “heads on spikes outside the gate.”

Relative to the problems in Canada along these lines. Don’t look this sovereign nation to solve the problems in your sovereign nation. To base trade on how you run your government would be hypocritical considering all the countries much worse than Canada that serve as trade partners to the US. China would be an example. We don’t tell them how to run their country as a condition of trade…yet. I’d suggest a different approach…such as your conservative leaders making the case that they would be better suited to interact with the US government, while simultaneously making the point that your current government is not up to the challenge. You have the statistics to back that up.

    1. exactly. the smart ones jump the gun, they get the existing openings first, it is folly to hang on to the bitter end the doors are all closed now by the ones that took their cue.
they all need to do soul searching ascertain did they remain neutral during the heady days of get Trump.

  5. Canada has its own ‘deep state’. Look no further thaan the equalization payment contribution formula. Good luck in getting that fairly modernized.

  6. Liberal racists can’t offer canadians very much while they watch what happens south of the border when free markets and free people are allowed to get things done, maybe Trump won’t have to do anything?

Although a real free trade agreement between our countries would be nice, one that actually has some benefits for consumers and regular people, not like the big business and government agreements of the past.

  7. With a < 24 hour trip to the US, I can still bring $0.00 worth of goods back to Canada duty free….

    So much for "no tariffs"…….

    1. You think it’s the Americans that are preventing you from shopping in the US and bringing those goods back to Canada duty free?

      1. Didn’t blame Trump, do you see that anywhere in my post. Try to keep up. Too much time trapping in the bush?

          1. Oh yes, my apologies. You said AMERICANS, not Trump. Still, I didn’t mention Americans either…………..

  8. Holy SHIT! Was that REAL? Was that a wishful thinking AI generated woulda, coulda, hope so speech? Praise GOD! For MY President!

  9. I went looking for the original source of this annotated video and I couldn’t find it, even with the help of artificial intelligence. Maybe it’s out there somewhere but to me this seems rather brash, even for Trump, and far too much like what a lot of us would like to see.

He is not in power yet and announcing sweeping measures like this seems in advance unwise.
    Is it a deep fake?

  10. L- Big Daddy just laid down the law in defence of free speech! Listen Up…

He also set a precedent for any would be leader, who wants alpha male or (female) status.

    1. Thank you. It’s REAL … and it’s SPECTACULAR! Apologies … not really … to Jerry Seinfeld.
