The Fairness and Safety in Sport Act, also introduced Thursday, would limit membership on female competitive sports teams to athletes who were female at birth.

You’ll notice that there are no restrictions for females who wish to play on a male competitive sports team (which does happen, btw, in rare occurrences).
Glad they didn’t say “identified as female at birth”.
That’s the reason I’ve largely checked out of the whole trannies-in-women’s-sport issue. Sports is entertainment, not athletics, and it lives or dies by how many people want to watch it. Women got pissy that no one wants to watch women’s sports other than gymnastics or ice dancing and used lawfare to get money redirected from men’s sports that people do want to watch. In the US entire men’s teams have been cut because there isn’t enough money in the budget after funding the women’s varsity badminton team or whatever.
Now the trannies are using their own tactics against them and they don’t like it. This isn’t a win for sanity; it’s a retrenchment of the gynocentric status quo.

I am not saying Premier Smith is wrong here as I don’t know who added this to the legislation, but someone should point out the finer points of what “reasonableness” or other nuances will do to this legislation…
Who decides what is reasonable tends to be the problem. As for Canada’s constitution, it ain’t worth the paper it is written on.
