  1. The left destroys everything it touches.

Just proves corus in not a business, for if it were it would attempt to reverse the decline – which would mean a 180 degree change in programming – and there is plenty of content and content creators out there.

  2. Corus absolutely committed suicide. Pandering to DEI, Woke, colonial revision, and communists never ends well for businesses.

In 2021 it was trading at $6+

When it was still unbiased in 2015 it was trading at $25+

But hey, at least Adler got a senate seat out of it.

  3. In July it was trading at $0.11 … I don’t know where to start the search but we’ll know when the stock price approaches the value of their non leased buildings or other hard assets.

I do listen to some of their radio channels, just background noise most of the time. When the DJ’s start talking though it’s 100% time to tune out, no different from the worst of the other MSM in Canada though thankfully it’s in English.

  4. Less shares are currently shorted (1.8million) than on July 31st (3.52 million), and that’s out of 196 million shares.

Only lost $26M in Q4, which is an improvement over the $796M in Q3.

But they do get 6 more months to turn out around before the banks pull the plug.

  5. Do you think they would pay some one to burn down their buildings so they could collect insurance money? Asking for a friend.

Actually, I know some one that would do it for free.

  6. So how’s Rawlco doing,,, they have to be on the same skid down.
Wood had to get rid of Gormley, just so he could bring in new advertising dollars from the “unions”, in hopes they could stay afloat !
Don’t listen any longer as that beta voice that replaced John, is so grating.

  7. Worked at a radio station for close to thirty four years, about ten under a privately owned group, about ten under Power Corp. and the final years under Corus. Working under the Desmarais bunch was relatively hands off compared to Corus’ methodical micro managing dismantling of what once was a vibrant part of our community. Death by a thousand cuts was/is the order of the day from on high to the point a GM and Sales Manager were at two out of town Radio locations four days a week and our puny little place on Friday, maybe for half a day if they felt particularly if they were feeling productive. The final GM I dealt with was just a numbers guy who barely showed his face and wouldn’t have known a microphone if it smacked him in the face (which would’ve been fun to do and broadcast live).
The fun of radio was bled dry by the time my department was eliminated along with five other similar departments in the Ontario cluster. I was comforted in the fact that final, know nothing GM ran out of people to sack and that he would be next.

  8. And here I thought there was absolutely nothing, NOTHING you could buy for 12¢ CDN. Not a shoelace, not a stick of gum, not a cheap pocket comb… nothing.

Until now. Now you can be part owner of Corus for a mere 12¢.

So, here’s your chance, Canada. Buy a share of Corus for 12¢ just so you can boast that you actually bought something for 12¢.

  9. I always preferred a Greek Chorus in an old tragedy by Sophocles or someone other than by Adler Agonistes.

  10. Jeez – fights in the streets between the Corus folks and those canadian broadcorping castration employees for the best place to sqweejee wndshields.
    Who to bet on! Hmmmmm…..

  11. Good, I’m still bitter about them shutting down LG 73, Mojo Radio and the Morning Zoo before that. Used to love firing up the hoe in the morning, fueling and greasing up listening to the Morning Zoo and later Mojo Radio before they turned it into a traffic station for Vancouver. May they keep hiring the program directors that they have so they’ll totally be out of business sooner.

  12. They live for the Google money and the federal election ads. Other than that their ad revenue has dried up. Daytime radio advertising sounds like late nite tv.

  13. I watch Global sometimes to see what the current disinformation talking points are. Every crackpot TDS story from MSNBC is repeated verbatum (ex: Nazi rally in 1939, “Fascism”, etc). Every weather related story from the 4 corners of the world is climate change, etc. The worse story must have been when Trump announced the Artemis program on the anniversary of the Apollo moon landings. This program aims to establish a moon gateway to eventually get to Mars. This is a colossal program that is the next step in space exploration. Dawna Friesen concluded Trump didn’t know the difference between the moon and Mars, said “astronomy is difficult” in her little bimbo voice and ended the story there. I wish I was making this up.
