  6. The irony of this is that the Israelis had captured, tried, and convicted Sinwar back in the 1980’s. He had been sentenced to 4 life terms in prison. However, they exchanged him for an Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit (who was abducted on the border) in the early 2000’s. Shalit was treated in violation of the Geneva Convention, and refused any contact including the Red Cross for years before the exchange.

    In retrospect, and I hate to say it, but Israel would have been better off not paying the ransom and leaving their (at the time Corporal) to his own devices.

    She, of course, will have no idea who these people are. Most of us don’t recognize the names. The reason you don’t know these names (but should) is because they are the seven US Citizens still being held hostage by Hamas. The media blacks this out. The current administration refuses to mention them or address the transgression. And, I’d bet my house Harris doesn’t even know who they are.
