Sun- Students attending protest told to ‘wear blue’ to mark them as ‘colonizers’
Mona, the cousin of one of students compelled to take part, told the Toronto Sun the Grade 8 student was instructed to wear a blue shirt to identify her as a “colonizer.”
“She was very upset,” Mona said of her cousin, who is Jewish and approached her teacher at the rally to express her discomfort once the anti-Israel chants began.
“The teacher told her, ‘You’ll get over it.’”
Given that Israel’s existence is the result of colonisation…..

There is not genocide in Gaza. Israel doesn’t randomly drop bombs on schools and hospitals but they do target Hamas terrorists using schools and hospitals as bases (a war crime, by the way). And the pagers are not killing anywhere near the number of “civilians” as being claimed. If you saw any of the videos of them exploding, you know you are being lied to. Although low intellect dweebs like yourself can’t think for themselves.

I don’t have to imagine. The Palestinian are lobbing unguided rockets on Israeli cities and villages. As for pagers, if you involve your kids in your terrorist activities, you only have yourself to blame.
But “Palestinians” don’t do such things “randomly.” For them, non-combatants including children are deliberately chosen targets. And they deliberately use their own children and sick as human shields (as much a war crime as using the other side’s non-combatants for the purpose.)
Seems to me that statements made by Hamas including their famous “from the river to the sea” indicate that their goal is to irradicate all Jews. Does that not classify as genocide? I haven’ t heard similar statements from Israel. An attack on any country such as the one from Hamas would result in a retaliatory effort in response and probably given antisemitic history an even stronger response from Israel. No one including Hamas is so stupid that they would not have known that . They would have known that would be the response and given Israels military capability that their own citizens would suffer. But that didn’t stop them. Hiding military personnel under hospitals and schools thus inflicting damage on their own people is clear proof they do not care what happens to everyday Palestinians. But it makes for a great PR campaign and some people have clearly been taken in by it

No, it’s much worse than that. It’s no different that Nazi Germany requiring all Jews in the 1930s to wear yellow badges to set them apart from the rest of the population.
There’s enough blame to go around, but I’m not going to let the students off the hook. It’s a different generation from what I’m used to, but I can confidently say that a significant portion of my school chums would have refused to participate in the “field trip.”

No thanks. I’m not interested in going…and I’m pretty sure my parents would have backed me up on that as would a vast majority of other parents at the time. Kids these days seem to enjoy being led around by the nose. That’s not how it used to be.
All the kids cared about was getting to goof off from school. Of course none would admit that.
I’m sure there was some of that. Way more exciting than learning how to reduce fractions.

The entire educational system in Ontario is suspect. Ottawa is no different. Just look at who they elected head of the OCDSB. (Update: Lyra Evans lost “her” –Evans is trans– position as chair to Lynn Scott last November by a draw of a card – High card wins! Yes, that’s how they select their leaders in the OCDSB!)

If you are serious about your child’s education, and you live in Ontario, get your children out of public schools altogether — yes, even the Catholic public schools.
Your options are to home-school, but if you decide to opt for a private school, then do your research, because many private schools can’t be trusted either.
The alternative is to get heavily involved in your school board. Consider running as a school board trustee.
