We can wait.
Globe and Mail- Ottawa recommends timelines for access to historical records
On Wednesday, the Treasury Board announced that it was introducing “sunset clauses” – which establish a date at which sensitive records can be released, often 20, 25 or 30 years after their creation – for federal records. These clauses are common in democracies around the world.

As if there’ll be anything that escapes erasure.
So 30 years from now we get to find out how corrupt the deals with SNC Lavellin were when the Liberals sole sourced a number of things from them that no one asked for? And in 50 years we get to learn all the CCP agents and useful idiots are?
How about instead, the terms of any deals made with the government become public immediately upon signing, and that by default every contract request is made public, especially those that involve “sole sourcing”?
Hiding acts committed, sanctioned orapproved by government is not what happens in a democracy.
That’s what happens in dictatorships.
One more line.
