In our lifetimes, Yugoslavia destroyed itself by its internal hatreds among its three main ethic groups, and the result was a decade of war and hundreds of thousands of deaths. Russia and Ukraine have been hating each other for a thousand years seeking revenge for old grievances, and it’s nowhere close to being over.
Yeah we wouldn’t want revenge in the US. Things are going too smoothly for that.
It is the default human position.

He has no issues about going to jail (for a short time), as it just bumps up his pole numbers. Do people actually believe Trump is up only a few points on Biden, its more like 50. Biden’s team will need to find at least 100 million votes to say that they won, I don’t think that’s doable and don’t think that Americans would buy that story. The dem’s best hope is to simply cancel the election, make up a story about cyber attacks, national security threats, etc. Pretty sure Trump is prepared for that and we will have an election.

My personal definition of civil war is units of the military shooting at each other. Anything less than that doesn’t rise to the level of civil war. Rebellion, yes; “insurrection”, if that word hadn’t been so mangled by the Democrats.
And to get there there have to be units of the US military loyal to the Constitution willing to break ranks and turn their guns the other way when ordered to fire on US citizens. Four years ago I’d have said that was a certainty. After the purges, I’m no longer certain.
