Friday Afternoon With Martin Armstrong

Armstrong Economics- Mainstream News is Committing Suicide

This chart shows the results of Gallup Polls, and the trust in American media is down well below 40%. Our models warn that when confidence in government falls below 40%, governments begin to collapse. That magic number applies to the media as well.

Armstrong Economics- TikTok Ban – WAR on Free Speech

Congress cannot agree on anything other than dismantling the First Amendment. There is no greater threat to the establishment than the uncensored sharing of ideas. This week, 353 members of Congress voted to ban TikTok to “protect our data.” Unlike any major issue facing the country, it took Congress a mere eight days to implement this ban, with an astounding 81% in favor of removing the platform.

Armstrong Economics- Canada to Incorporate Social Scores in Banking

“It’s about having that fairer, more inclusive, more open society,” said Helen Child, founder of Open Banking Excellence. Open Society, well, that does sound familiar. Why is there a need for inclusivity and fairness in banking when it should come down to numbers? “It drives financial inclusion,” she added, “It’s democratizing data.”

Canada is one of many nations hoping to use unofficial social scores to control the masses. All of these actions are setting the stage for how CBDC will operate, a collective network containing everyone’s personal data and accounts. Governments have already begun debanking individuals and these steps will make it increasingly easier to force the masses to bow down and relinquish all control to the almighty government.

  1. ” … the trust in American media is down well below 40%.”

    Still that high, eh?

    1. Most of cats hunted insects too. One in particular liked spiders, and would eat them. Flies was another matter. I wasn’t keen on him, or the others eating flies.

  2. Ref: Canada to incorporate social scores in banking.

Heh. Nothing new here. After the invocation of the Emergencies Act, the Caisse squealed to turdo about customers who had accounts with sign companies. And all the other banks handed over whatever turdo wanted.

    1. Assiniboine Credit Union pulled staff off their usual duties to monitor social media and report to the RCMP. They also were among the first to shut down bank accounts. Credit unions used to mean something. Now they are just one more bank.

  3. its the g.d. gooks own tiktok so f’n right stfu.

whats missing is a subsequent call for the big comm giants to get in huddle and between them come up with a broadly available medium friendly, that is, easy to access with multitude digital and otherwise avenues, all paid for by ads ie free. then maybe to promote things paid ad free subscriptions later.

everybody watching each other for eavesdropping. how would it ever happen with say top 4 providers designed and released a low cost suite of servers and routers. no way they could build in snooping hw/sw without others probing.
which in contrast was pretty much a given with the CCP version of G5.

with CLEAR rules about not promoting hate. the real kind. KKK kind.

but noooooooooo mebbe prepping to set up a gubmint operated one.
free of competition from another gubmint.
things rarely happen for just 1 reason.
sometimes any number of reasons from 1 to hosts suffices.
sometimes a host of factors must all be true.

    1. and note the filter didnt show up.
      no trickery reqd
      what gives.
certainly a mystery black box that one. no predictability.
      back to my do list.

    2. The problem is that what has tiktoks name on it is broad enough to cause lots of other free speech issues.
      Remember the Patriot Act?

  4. It seems Justin Trudeau not only admires China most of any government in the world, he likes it so much he’s busy bringing it here.
I like the idea of a social score, it’ll be interesting to watch the peasants jockey and backstab to gain favor with the system.
I’m slightly shocked that 40% of Americans still trust the media, probably higher in Canader.

I’d enjoy watching the laid off msm types looking for a real career, as I don’t think many of them could do anything practical such as any trade,or oil, mining, forestry jobs. They’re born to be word-propanaganda-smiths and too goddamned lazy to do hard physical work. Walmart does need shelf stockers.

    1. Of course it is higher Canada. W e are an infantilized society, warm and cozy in the arms of mommy government, despising those with the guts to succeed and wanting to be the big minnow in a tiny pond. Shithole.

  5. James Lindsay’s explanation of the planned “de-growth” of the western world by using suicidal ESG kamikaze insanity on ourselves reasonably explains why we’re doing this.

Makes even more sense when you know they’re all doing gain of function Frankenstein testing, accepting CCP bribes and sheltering money and investments in China.

  6. From TikTok Ban – WAR on Free Speech:
Albert Camus, “The welfare of the people is always the alibi of tyrants, and it provides the further advantage of giving the servants of tyranny a clear conscience.”

That pretty much covers the doings of the politicians of every stripe today.
Can you recognize the parallels with the idiot that is dicktating (sic) Canandians? Though one must add that it is the preference of majority of people in this country, just watch next elections.
    Pierre Poilievre, prove me wrong.

The only guy that has any guts to fight the totalitarians and their dicktat (sic) is Javier Milei. It remains to be seen how far is he going to be able to get and if he does not get suicided in the process.

  7. “Would You Feed Bugs to Your Pet?”

It is a sincere wish here that Tyson food gets boycotted until it dies.
The behavior of big corporations of the day is what fascism looks like in real life.

    No mercy.

  8. My most trusted news source is the Babylon Bee. I know it is a joke and can usually see the true story behind it. Those who you wish to destroy, first ridicule.

  9. This blog frequently and consistently points to the dangers of Chinese Communist influence in the Americas, so the reference to the banning of TikTok should have at least mentioned that TikTok is a Chinese Communist operation. To be clear, TikTok is not a free speech platform. In China it is very restricted. In the West it is full on crazy, dopamine-reward clickbait of anything that undermines the mental health of our youth; it’s a major conduit of trans perversion for one thing.

The struggle for free speech is a forever war and there will be many battles to come. However, TikTok is not a hill to commit national suicide on.
