Carbon tax war heats up between Saskatchewan and feds. Duncan says Saskatchewan won’t remit carbon tax after his “walk in the rain.” Wilkinson says no carbon rebates for Saskatchewan after province says it won’t remit. Moe says no rebate = no carbon tax.

Also,
If we are shutting down the oil sands why are we spending $35 billion on a pipeline for it?
we are working on pronouns for the workers this week . dont distract us
We’re probably spending only about $4 billion on the pipeline, the rest is buckshee.
What should come next is “you know we’ve started looking into the reasons for this carbon tax. We’ve taken the Federal government at its word, that CO2 emissions can change the climate, but we have found a preponderance of evidence that this is simply false. “
Thank you sensible Scott Moe for standing up for the people who subsidize Quebec’s wet dreams. Here in Saskatchewan electric cars are not an option. Our local Ford dealer told me that in cold weather their electric Mustang gets 150 km on a charge, one third of what is trumpeted in the specs. We travel long distances here and need to rely on our vehicles to get us there safely and reliably.
150 km is an everyday one way commute. the 15 minute cities are a joke for 95% of the country.
the original layout of the prairies was a half day wagon ride to the elevator and the small towns that grew up around them .
Easy solution. Draw a line around all the 15 minute commute cities and take their cars away. They would never vote Liberal again.
I would like to see Danielle Smith do precisely the EXACT SAME thing.
Tell the Guilbeault/Trudeau NAZIs, to Shove their Carbon tax into their personal Ether.
We are being destroyed with this utter SCAM.
If I remember correctly, the Saskatchewan government and saskenergy only took the carbon tax off home heating. I guess now they can take it off businesses, farmers, ranchers, miners etc. This should give Saskatchewan operations a competitive advantage since it’ll lower their input costs. If saskpower also removes the carbon tax on electricity across the board to individuals and all businesses, even better. Not sure if they can nix the carbon tax on vehicle fuel. Where else can the Saskatchewan government cut carbon taxes?
No carbon tax lowers the Trudeau Liberal-NDP government’s GST tax on the tax too. I’ve never wanted or needed the carbon tax rebate so the federal government removing it doesn’t affect me. Lower utility bills every month has a more positive impact on our budget.
Build their own refineries and tell Ottawa to go pound sand. Government is always the problem.
Blubber Douggie just finished a press conference at Queens Park where he said Ontario stands shoulder to shoulder in solidarity with Saskatchewan on this issue.
Okay! Okay! Jeez!
I was just trying to be funny ….
The use of infantile level name calling always lowers the commenter to that intellectual level.
Chastened, I am.
I’ll expect the same intervention next time I call out turdo or Singhalong.
Fckn snob.
Well, so says Mr. Snottypants here!
Hey, you’re right, I’m dumbed right down. Damn! This is cheaper than reefer! Thanks for the tip!
Yeah, the only provinces with a spine and courage to confront the Trudeau Liberal-NDP government are conservatives in Alberta and Saskatchewan. That’s why the federal Liberal Party has hated Alberta and Saskatchewan and attacked their economy for over 50 years.
Quebec gets all the gifts from Ottawa whenever they ask. The two solitudes nonsense is an overly melodramatic act between Ottawa and Quebec that is propelled by the media. Its not real confrontations like the battles of Alberta and Saskatchewan against Ottawa.
Trudeau refuses to handout the rebates so the brain dead liberals are mad at Moe.
Shouldn’t they be mad at Trudeau?
Boy blunder is insane.
The federal government has not been paying out any “rebates” so far,so threatening to continue to not do so,only focuses attention on the money they have already extorted fro taxpayers..
Carbon Tax is a tax on fuel.A tax on everything transported anywhere..
Hence a tax on everything..
The rising cost of everything?
Absolutely not effected/caused by the Carbon Tax..Just ask any Parasite.
I believe Scott Moe’s tax revolt might set historic precedent in Canada. Even Lougheed & Klein threatened but never stopped paying taxes to Thee Laurentian Elite, and though Quebec has refused to submit to Ottawa many times, they get to write their own rules. An honest to goodness Tax Revolt is one foundation of Revolution and another is selective, strategic, and limited but repeated, General Strikes by private sector industries & folks. This is when The People truly begin taking it on the chin to hit Them where it really hurts.
How about axing the transfer payments?
