Telegraph- Trans-women’s milk as good as breast milk, says NHS trust

For a person born male to breastfeed, they must develop milk-producing glands by taking the hormone progestin.

A drug is required to lactate, such as domperidone, which is often prescribed to women struggling to breastfeed, and helps to stimulate the production of prolactin – a separate hormone that tells the body to produce milk.

Domperidone, also known by the brand name Motilum, was not intended for this, but is prescribed off-label by doctors, despite the manufacturer, Janssen, itself recommending against it because of possible side effects to a baby’s heart.

  6. Where transgender rights meets your babies nutritional needs.. As usual the right to do so, overrides the situation.. A baby shouldn’t be a thrice removed accessory.. Because of this “Fathers Milk” is not a thing that any responsible pediatrician would recommend over a quality formula..

Medical malpractice, corruption of democracy, intentional economic damage, academic idiocy, stoking of racial grievances, the complete lack of honesty in journalism, etc

      1. Yes, no matter how modern and sophisticated we think we are…we still fall for the same methods of manipulations as our near and ancient ancestors. The worst quirks of human nature are being motivated by fear or greed and deference to authority, imo. The trans movement relied on deference to authority and fear of repercussions to force the both benign and most radical parts of their agenda but there is definitely backlash/pushback occurring now.

    We already know the NHS is 100% f-ed. We found out that they’re irretrievably compromised in 2020 with the Chinese flu.

    Seeing today’s farce is neither surprising nor shocking. It’s just another nail in the coffin. Admittedly this one endangers little new born babies so it’s five or six nails, but the same coffin.

  12. Give a man/boy/girl progestin, and a bottle, and he/she can feed the baby no problem. The question is who cares?
    This is satire, right? You can give a woman as much testosterone as you want, she won’t grow a prostate gland.
    It’s time civil society grew a new set to replace those that have receded into the body politic, thanks to woke wimps.

  13. Their delusion over the health of a baby, one of the drugs they use to produce the milk is banned in the US because it’s been allegedly linked to heart issues. Oh well, their feelings are more important than a baby right liberals?

Actuallly, Rose, there have been reports of “transmen” becoming pregnant and giving birth, and the concern is NEVER about the health of the baby because of all the hormones the pregnant parent is ingesting or has ingested. i’ve seen reports that some health “professionals” are openly stating that giving birth to a healthy child is overemphasized and what is most important is the parent’s experience en route to giving birth.

      Not to long ago people would have looked at me like I was crazy for asking that. Now it is more like a spoiler alert.

    1. And as is standard operating practice this revelation was issued by an inanimate entity named the “Sussex NHS Trust”. The anonymity of the authors will of course remain secret, privacy concerns and all that. It should be Law that if an edict is issued without the names, signatures, full bios of the instigators it should be considered null, void and of no consequence.
