    1. Manheim Steamroller, for one; Trans-Siberian Orchestra , Mason Williams, Boston Pops. There is a boatload of groups who made albums with classical symphonic structure, my favorite being Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of The Moon.

        1. Saw them in concert Buffalo Bill’s stadium, mid 70s, 70000 in attendance, quadraphonic sound, speakers at all 4 corners blew me away.

      1. Don’t forget Strawbs and Barclay James Harvest. Still have a spot for Conquistador by Procol Harum.

    2. Played t-bone in junior & senior high band. Always enjoyed orchestral instruments in my classic rock.

    1. What the…?!?!

First Fake News and now Fake Emmys? I suppose next thing we’ll find out is that Pamela Anderson had fake boobs.

      Wait, what? She did?

    1. I see a couple large trucks. Few hundred gallons of diesel and a few dozen rubber tires make a black plume like that.

  1. I wonder if anyone noticed the subtle transition from the original to the updated version in that video. Seamless.

  2. Both Blacklock and Google are laying off employees. You know the economy sucks when…

    1. Steve

I think you meant Blackrock, not Blacklock’s.

      Blackrock is laying off 600.

Larry Fink is CEO. What an appropriate name!

    1. Tony, the Globe and Mail published an editorial slamming Ms. Lewis’s UN suggestion. A more middle-of-the-road suggestion would be to remain in the far-left organization, but to cut back our financial support by 95%.

    2. I was disgusted by the Globe’s dismissal of Lewis’s concerns. Instead of looking at the arguments she makes, let’s get ahold of the person proposing the petition who is bound to be a nut-bar (He’s not, but the Globe has done a good job of mocking his concerns.) The Globe should be focusing on the immanent threat posed by the WHO Pandemic Treaty. Many smart people are very alarmed by the proposed changes to WHO’s level of control regarding health emergencies. Some are worried that the changes will affection national sovereignty. Many dismiss that, but here is a very good analysis of what is more likely to happen: https://peckford42.wordpress.com/2024/01/11/the-whos-managerial-gambit/
Those “voluntary” agreements have a way of pushing an agenda. The media does not do a good job of alerting people to the risks.

  3. PostMedia New Brunswick censorship makes Pravda and Tass look downright freespeechy.

Comments on their site are censored more often than a Liberal says something stupid.

Imagine a National Newspaper, of a chain owning most of the print media in Canada, one American-owned yet heavily taxpayer subsidized, censoring the following content:

    “Liberal immigration incompetence”. That’s it.
    Just did.
    Those three words.
    Content deactivated.
    There’s your Canadian Media.
Sold their soul for the Liberal dole.

    Come on Canadian Media.
Tell Mommy where the bad words hurt you.

    1. A lot of media disable comments because they don’t have the staff to monitor them.

Flame me out if it suits you. I’m only repeating what they say.

    1. That truck will be totaled. They may as well have left it there because it will never run again. On the other hand, it would be a navigation hazard if they left it because the lake is only 4or 5 feet deep anyway.

    1. Queers who are worried about Poilievre government, should move to live under Hamas or to Iran. There they’ll get a warm welcome.

    1. They were sold on the black market to Russian soldiers who bought them to replace their shovels?

    1. In related news, RCMP is continuing their search for their own @$$ with both hands in their hip pockets. “We are getting closer to finding it, “ said an unnamed source at the RCMP, “and having doubled the investigative team, we expect to report positive results sometime in 2024.”

    1. Naahhhh, Steve. I can think of another explanation. There was a case of Pilsner in the back.

Me? I would have thanked God they got the Hyundai AND the Pilsner, but YMMV.

  5. Why do Russian tankers leave their hatches open when they abandon a tank?

Here a drone flies into an open hatch, and kaboom.

    https://twitter.com/RALee85/status/1745173662481715664?

Yes, I know about the proclivity of Russian tanks to blow up when they are hit. So, it’s only natural to bail out as fast as you can.

But if the tank doesn’t explode, why not come back and close the hatches? It would better preserve the vehicle for a tank recovery team.
