  1. The fact that it is being hidden should be of concern. I was not aware that anyone was still being held and I have been all over the place for the last 700 days. This is the first post I have seen since that time. Now I realize that we can’t see everything all the time but this is a serious miscarriage of justice. Canada sucks.

The deranged dominion, where the scum bags are treated like endangered fish (catch and release) and the “political criminals” suffer under third world dictatorship standards of assumption of guilt and if the accused is lucky he might eventually get to his show trial. We would be better off and likely save a lot of money if we just outsourced our criminal justice system to Mexico. At least they would deal with the real criminals.

  3. That a pathetically useless effete like Reid thinks he ‘has no dog in this fight’ when people are incarcerated for two years on made up conspiracy charges with no offering of bail is exactly why everything is garbage today.

  5. I was told early on by a Coutts resident the whole thing is false. They are simply using coercion to gain a guilty plea and create “evidence. ” If they had a solid case they would have proceeded. Sure, we are going to vote our way out of this.

      Sounds like a similar situation in Alberta once…a couple of RCMP got themselves killed by a nutcase, and they then spent years trying to blame (and frame?) others for their own failings. The town was so incensed that pretty much only the family and friends showed up for the RCMP funerals.

  7. Of course I agree with the sympathies of this post, Mr. Reid and the comments on this thread. The Trudeau (in)justice system is corrupt from top to bottom. But if few have ever heard of the Coutts injustice, it also points to the fragility and small size of the conservative movement. I noticed that there were two protestors supporting the accused. Is that all? There is a fairly lively, but small, conservative media in Canada. Why haven’t they coalesced to start a strong protest over this? Why hasn’t there been an NGO started on the accused behalf to lobby for their released?

    I agree that the Trudeau government is corrupt. But we should organize to fight the blatant corruption.

  8. Political prisoners denied due process under the law.. We are not at war and these men are not terrorists..

    They are THE REASONING behind Trudeau’s state of emergency.. Because of that they could not be freed in short order.. Maybe our next tyrant leader will let them out on weekends?..

  9. I think they were arrested under the emergency measures act. I think that changes things. Is this the reason they will not move forward with charges? There is suspicion the the guns were planted by the cops. It also is connected to the Diagonal land joke in which these individuals want to creat a new country that would join all the conservative states and provinces in North America (Florida to Alaska,through Alberta,Saskatchewan,etc.) to have a Maga super country. An obvious threat to our confederation……. Don’t let the good ideas circulate! They might catch on!

    Don’t be surprised if they are all released due to the corrupt government ragging the puck, running out the clock on their statute of limitations. This is the same corrupt department also dragging things along vs Tamara Lich, with their embarrassingly amateurish show trial, which may very well result in acquittal, as if it were on purpose.

      As with Mary Steyn’s decade long lawsuit against Michael Mann, the whole point is to make the “justice” system as painful as possible.

      May be a Thomas Sowell quote, but its basically, you know the legal system is bad because normal people are terrified of walking into a law room, while the criminals dance into it.

  14. The media have done a great job burying the Coutts Four story, and the Conservatives, spineless cowards that many of them are, have been happy to play along and pretend that we don’t have political prisoners in this country.

    I’ve been kicked off Twitter four times for trying to discuss these matters (ask Trent The Trucker, he knows the story) but perhaps someone can send this article I wrote on the matter in Newsweek to Mr Angus Reid

    1. You’re doing a tremendous service in documenting the plight of these unfortunate guys, much moreso than every gutless MP in this corrupt hellhole. Every right thinking person should read your articles on the Coutts 4 as they illustrate how Canada has slid into a Soviet style injustice system where Beria’s ‘show me the man and I’ll find the crime’ now applies. Shameful and disgusting.

  17. I texted Gormley a couple times around the 600 days point and then again a short while after. Crickets,,, he wouldn’t even touch the story. Complete Media blackout, no better example to show those in the dark about how controlled and deliberate the Media is.
    We’re being hoodwinked every single day.

    Do the feds give the the Lich / Barber treatment of a meandering, pointless trial?

    If there is good evidence, trial should be over.
    If there isn’t, these men are scapegoats to cover-up Trudeau’s invocation of martial law.

    1. Justice Rouleau gave what looks to be coordinated cover for the government’s invoking the EA when he cited the situation in Coutts. Only problem was that the Coutts 4 were arrested BEFORE the actual invocation of the EA. Since the Ottawa protest, and Barber and Lich’s actions, clearly did not meet the standard of the EA, it looks like Rouleau and his POEC tried to use the fabricated case against the Coutts 4 as justification/cover for the government to meet the EA threshold. Rouleau, despite all evidence and testimony to the contrary, judged the government justified in using the EA.

      Think about that for a moment and let it sink in.

  19. Note that the government Judge has decided that he will announce on January 8th, what day he’ll come to a decision to release the political prisoners…

    Now is the government court in compliance with R. V. St-Cloud(2015), R. v. Zora(2020) and R. v. Antic(2017), we aren’t allowed to know because there is a publication ban, which the supreme court of canada has ruled are “mandatory and automatic” (see: https://archive.is/Ka091) which is an affront to the principle of “open courts”, but has been in place since 1972.

  20. There never was a justice system in this country. It’s always been a legal system. Politicians, bureaucrats, judges and lawyers treat it as a game to get rich off of.

    Looks like those days are gone forever, grab your forelock and bend a knee when your betters pass by, else you just may spend the rest of your days in a cell awaiting trial.
