Clean Electricity Regulations and nuclear power: Moe

Scott Moe.

Saskatchewan’s Year in Energy: Premier Scott Moe, 2023: Part 3: Clean Electricity Regulations and Nuclear Power

Clean Electricity Regulations proposed by the federal government mean to totally change our nation and its economy. And nuclear power is really the only option Saskatchewan has for large-scale, baseload power that does not emit greenhouse gasses.

Part 3 discusses the Clean Electricity Regulations and their impact, and widespread adoption of nuclear power

  1. Let me say this again: if you accept the premises of your opponent in an argument, you will lose. With respect to Scott Moe, who means well, he will not be allowed to proceed with his nuclear power plants because the federal government will pass legislation to stop him from building them or make the process of approval so onerous as to force defeat via the extended passage of time.

There is no replicable or reality based scientific data for man made climate change. That is the battle that Scott Moe should start with. Accepting that there is a problem with no evidence is a recipe for defeat because lies can be produced in zero time to bolster the existing narrative while real truth takes research, experimentation, observation, replication and gobs of time.

Second, he has the government structure to halt federal interference by starving the federal beast of one of its main food sources – the public purse of Saskatchewan. He can tell them to go to hell, and keep provincial monies in the province. He isn’t going to get any more handouts in transfer payments because that formula has already been written and Saskatchewan is going to get nothing – they are on their own. He might as well tell Trudeau and the Gullible that he won’t comply and mean it. Kissing their collective behinds serves no purpose.

  2. Dr. Craig Idso of the CO2 science .com —-says ” Increased carbon dioxide——would be positive rather than negative.” This reinforces the fact that carbon dioxide is essential to life, that CO2, is at a historical low concentration——–and that more rather than less would be generally beneficial to life on earth.
So premier Moe don’t worry about the alarmist nonsense that some power sources emit greenhouse gases!

    1. I can see PM + Guilbebelault: “why didn’t we think ourselves about that? what a great idea, we need to redo entire Charter for climate change/eco-stuff, now!!!”

BS will roll for months: lots of shiny PR Parliament meetings “discussions”, media coverage, self-congratulatory speeches “we did this&that, accomplished X/Y and Conservatives did not”.
