Suddenly out of nothing a nation would be formed in an area lived in and owned for thousands of years by dispossessing those whose ancestors owned that land since before the time of Christ. Why? It became received wisdom that God has a special people apart form Jesus’s followers. After the war and Hitler’s genocide Christian Zionism became Jewish Zionism and the State of Israel was formed over the objection of everyone (Jew, Christian, Muslim) living in the land where Israel was to be formed. General George Marshal the man behind the famous Marshal Plan that restored Europe warned Harry Truman that if he went ahead with the creation of Israel there would be a century of war in the region. Harry was controlled by zionists and went ahead anyways. The rest is history. Israel which has no claim to that land was created by “jews’ who are not observant Jews and have been busily slaughtering the locals ever since. Israel is not a nice place. It is extremely intolerant of anything that is not Jewish. A young jew did an experiment and put on a catholic cossack and put a cross around his neck. He then walked the streets of Jerusalem where he was spat on and told to take off the offensive cross. I have no idea why anyone who is actually Christian supports Israel. Oh and BTW you may have heard of Heggi who is a famous Christian pastor out of the US who is the head of Christians for Israel. Funny thing is he is head in name only. the organization is run out of Tel Aviv by some Jewish zionist lawyers who claim to be Jews. Then of course there is the Israeli controlled media. Remember Covid? How about the war in Afghanistan? Iraq? Vietnam? Yeah that same reliable news source is informing many on what is going on in Gaza. Sadly some people just refuse to learn.         2. There has been a continuous Jewish presence in Israel for 3,000 years. The Muslims began colonizing the land 1,400 years ago. They have been murdering Jews ever since. When Israel was created, it was on land the Jews already owned. It was never about land, it is, and always has been, about killing Jews.

          2. You are right there have been Jews and Christians and Muslims in that land for thousands of years. Funny how the idea of the nation of Israel came from Europe and was rejected by Jews living in the land in 1947. All the Orthodox Rabbis from that time rejected it because in their writings the nation of Israel can not exist without a Jewish temple. They look forward to a time when their Jewish Messiah comes and rebuilds the temple and creats the nation of Israel. They reject this European/American false state that supposedly is a democracy. Judaism is not a democracy. Neither is Christianity. How can either be if they believe that there is such a thing as a Word of God? Either they follow the word of God or they live in apostasy. This isn’t up for debate or vote. Don’t get me wrong Jews and Christians believe in democracy in secular matters but in religious matters not so much. Therefore a Jewish state being a democracy is kind of like a wet form of dry. Maybe a square circle. Simply can’t exist.

A baby born in Gaza three days ago is innocent and is not a legitimate military target. A 6 year old girl on her way to school is not a legitimate target either. Do try to at least look at both sides of the debate. You might be very surprised at what you learn when you stop following the trope that Israel being God’s people is always right. Israel is not Gods chosen people as explained by John the Baptist and St Paul and St Peter. Israel is just another nation and as such is fully capable of committing war crimes.

        Not to the IDF, no (which is why they do more than *any other army in history* to minimize and avoid as many civilian casualties as they can, despite Hamas actively trying to get more of those civilians killed)…but they certainly ARE considered ‘legitimate targets’ by Hamas. They have even SAID SO.

  14. Why don’t we just allow the IDF to treat the Palestinians the same way that Hamas treats the Israelis? After all, reciprocity is in the quran.

    If there is an objection to that approach I’d like to know what it is.
