Cue the magical perfect diet people to offer their BS advice.
Trump’s Surgeon General Jerome Adams addressed the early so-called disparity of BIPOC C19 fatalities early to food. He was immediately removed and silenced until he started being a choir to the preachers.
It is true, the worst performers during C19 were the most western, medically advanced nations.
Bad science, bad food, bad medicine.
I was brought up with the Canada Food Guide and small portions. I lived in residence for the first 2 years of university and then had my own apartments and shopped for groceries. I always ate well because our mother taught me how to cook, how to bake, how to budget and how to menu plan.
I DO realize that 50 years ago, there were not so many fast food restaurants. If a guy took you to a restaurant, he was serious about you. Again, growing up, our parents took us to restaurants twice a year – at the end of June to celebrate their wedding anniversary and then on New Year’s day to the Viking Buffet in Edmonton, Alberta. Good times!
I’m still working my way through Metabolical by Prof Lustig. A lot of good info and he’s not selling anything.
eat like a caveman . a million years of evolution cant be undone by 10000 years of farming , and certainly not by 50 years of woke. and the farm population wouldn’t have been that large for the first 5000 years of the agricultural age.
Sorry, not into grubs and insects.
Also, depending on location, human populations had vastly different diets.
Eat meat, fish, eggs.
Protein first and foremost. Then fats and calcium. Protein satisfies hunger, fats provide calories. Try for 0.4-0.7 grams of protein per day per pound of body weight.
Fruits should be to compliment the meal but should be eaten in small quantities. Refined sugars should be consumed in even smaller quantities.
Our diets used to be controlled by the seasons, with sugars being available only in summer, and generally only briefly. Now, it is as if summer never ends.
Lustig is pretty clear. NO sugar is good for you. It spikes Insulin, which is the real problem we all face. It’s not an essential nutrient whatsoever. Our livers will produce glucose, if our body needs it.
As adults, we don’t need supplemental calcium. We get enough from our diet of red meat, cheese and dairy products. Too much calcium results in calcification of blood vessels.
Try magnesium instead, something we all don’t get enough of.
Never eat anything that your grandmother wouldn’t recognize.
My grandmother ate head cheese.
If you don’t look too hard at it, it tastes great.
I don’t drink soda. I don’t drink water. Fish **** in it.
Shut up. Eat and drink what you want and die like a man, you pussies.
Have a nice day.
Eat a balanced diet, meat, veg, carbs, deserts, beer, wine, hey, too much is always too much, you get fat because you eat too much.
I eat meat and eggs daily, fish perhaps weekly. I do eat veggies but almost no desert, fruit or junk. I really enjoy the fats in pork, beef and lamb. Don’t eat out much either. My only downfall is I like my nightly Brandy/Ginger ale sigh! However, almost 75 years and going strong, with several projects on the go, a new full bathroom, a large fencing project out back are the major ones. Still happy I’m able to do this sh&t and other running around. I shop the groceries, I cook the meals. still a pureblood…..
